That is a 1990 SR-4. I bought it new in 1991 and played with it everyday for years and years and years. My first love.

Cue Market I am a collector not a dealer so I really don't have a feel for the market. It sounds like, from the recents post in this thread, that there is just more supply than demand. Many choices for a player to chose from. Still, to me a cue that is a classic would always have a market...

No Schon Love OK, so I am putting this cue away. No longer for sale. Am I the only Schon lover out here? Seriously, why wouldn't a mid 1980's all Ebony Runde Schon get any takers at $700.???? I thought it was a deal??

Yes, after 1986 silver rings were the norm and stitched rings were an option that you could order. If you post some pics of your R12, someone here may give you an idea of the value.

Bob Runde did build these particular cues, with the exception of the one on the far right.

I'm not sure there is anything so special about them. They are, 20 - 25 year old, hand built cues that play wonderfully. The craftsmanship is very good, the materials are top notch. Just good cues. In my opinion they are way undervalued.

That is an R9. I could be had too, if the offer were strong.

For sale: An all original Schon R10. All Ebony cue with green venneers. Butt and shaft are both straight. 20.4 ounces, shaft is 12.7mm with ivory ferrule. Stitched rings. A very nice crisp hitting cue. I picked up another and don't need two. $735 shipped via Fed Ex two day. No trades...

Yes. 4 Ebony points into a maple forearm and maple windows in the buttsleeve.

R5 I don't know? I am about as big a Schon fan as there is and I've never seen one (any model) with red points.
