CF Shafts - Wall Thickness Uniformity?

How many nutjobs like you live in the Philippines? I doubt you know anything about carbon fiber shafts or anything else except "Orange Man Bad" based on your posts in NPR.

CF Shafts - Wall Thickness Uniformity?

I would venture to say that most, not all, CF shafts are made in China. A friend of mine(also a cuemaker), has tried to work with 4 different companies in China to develop a shaft to his specs. The specs are very reasonable to achieve but quality control is, or so it seems, hard to find in...

How, exactly do you "get gold". Several years ago, I made the contribution but did not know one had to "turn it on".

    Jackpot Cues

I am out of popcorn but this thread did provide a couple of days of nail biting drama. These cues may turn out to be extremely rare. Ghost OB Ebonies! Get ready, Dean. The orders will come pouring in, er, well. once the 5 million different opinions help us nobodies make up our mind.

    Improve your game quickly

If this Forum has reached the point where one can't offer some thoughts regarding playing pool, the Administrator needs to start charging the "real" Instructors and we can all be students and pay a fee to learn. I often wonder how many of the "instructors" have gambled at all, especially have...

Any Idea who INVENTED "GOLF On the SNOOKER TABLE ????

I started playing the game in the mid 60's with a few old timers. One variation played was if you sold out the game, you had to match the largest amount owed. Brutal at times, especially if you had a newbie in the game and they had lots of hickies. I am sure the game goes back a long time.

So, a stabilized spalted maple front will not benefit from a purpleheart core in regards to hit?

    New Schmelke design

I think you made a great purchase. You are correct, there are a lot of cues built with rings that don't perfectly align. That should not be a deal breaker in that price range. Finally, you are moving the economy along and pushing the Trump train with your purchase!!!

    Mike Dechaine

I respect the man for finding a job that should pay him a nice income. Making a living in the pool world is difficult as you witness the low payouts for tournaments. I hope he continues to prosper in his job and, when he can, enter the larger tournaments. Maturity will solve some of his...

Where to use wood based on grain structure?

Coring solves the problem of using your curly maple. It can be used as a front, handle, or butt sleeve. If you like it, any quality cue maker can utilize the curly.

    Wrapless cues

Joey perfectly explained the situation and the need for a higher charge for wrapless. No one ever asks for straight grain maple as wrapless material.
