    Titlist Conversion Joint ID?

Any idea who might have made a joint like this on a very old Titlist conversion?

    CNC's for cuemakers

XZero I planned on pulling the trigger on one of George's machines with my tax return. It doesn't look like it's going to work out though. Hopefully he can make a full recovery.

    Cue ID

I was thinking the same based on style. The finish and build quality are surprisingly good for a 30+ year old import though. Nothing much under the bumper, just a straight bored hole with a Phillips head screw.

    Cue ID

Guy said he bought it 30 some years ago. Finish seems too good for a cue that old but who knows. Joint is brass with an SS sleeve over it. Full splice. Well built. No markings anywhere.

    pin glue / epoxy

5 Minute I use 5 minute, only on pins, for the same reason. I've never had a failure to my knowledge. It doesn't take much at all to hold a pin in place. I've had cues (not mine) that I practically had to start on fire to get the pin out and that is annoying. A few McDermott's come to mind.

    Campos Cues x 3

Thanks for the kind words. I suspect most think I'm a new cue builder because I don't put many up on the board here. I've been making them for 15 years though:thumbup: These are all great players for a steal.

    Campos Cues x 3

The first cue is ebony into birdsey, ob1 shaft with moori soft, SS 5/16-14 piloted joint, white with green spec linen wrap, delrin butt cap, 19.4 ounces. It is my personal player and 9.9 out of 10 condition. $500 Second cue is new. It is amboyna burl into birdseye, lizard embossed leather wrap...

    compression joint

Piloted I use a piloted or compression joint with 5/16-14 or 18 pins only because the mild amount of slop in the threads can sometimes allow you to feel a little bit of an edge at the shaft/butt joint face, depending on how careful you aren't when joining the cue. It is miniscule but it annoys...

    suggested router with 1/2'' collet?

To answer your question, yes they do have v-groove bits in 1/4" that will cut the grooves for points. Chris Hightower should be able to set you up.

My custom case. None other like it.

It offers slightly less protection than just dragging your bare cue behind your car to the pool hall. I like!

That is awesome. No really. Except the router cube. That's no good. How would I throw wood chips on the hood of my wife's suv!?!

WTB Mahogany or Dark Brown Joint Collars

No, not matching any existing joint work. I was just looking for a mahogany or dark brown for a titlist I'm putting a pin in and just thought a darker shade would look good on it.
