Taiwanese carom is played on a pool table, NOT a carom table. Even though there are other variations of the game played on carom tables. There are 4 balls including the cue ball. 1 white, 1 yellow and 2 reds. Color matters but number doesn't. It's a 3-sequence game in order to score 1 point...

It's called Taiwanese carom or 235. Super fun but really hard. Like really hard. I think most players shouldn't play it if you don't have a strong cue ball.

You can also hear him say, "10". 5 seconds before his shot. But when he yelled 5 it seemed a little louder maybe facing towards Gorst. I also don't think Gorst intended to concede. He was just frustrated and was like screw it.

I think Gorst got sharked, you can hear someone yell in the crowd during the middle of his last stroke.

If you are trying to play caroms to improve your pool game, there is nothing wrong with playing it on a pool table. In the past, I used to think, that playing caroms on the pool table was quite silly. but carom tables play much differently than pool tables. You'll hear good players say things...

I think that works well too. I've heard people complain that water hurts the felt. If that's true, what happens when it's a humid day?

At my local spot I play 3c, they vacuum the tables after every game. This is common practice in 3c These particular tables are the fastest playing tables in Houston and they don't have to replace the felt that often. But they do anyways about once a year. I doubt the brush hurts the felt but...

From my experience when my opponent jumps. A very large majority of the time he misses the whole object ball or doesn't even come close to making it. I actually get excited when they go for the jump vs the kick. And when I know a player is dependent on that jump cue. I'll play safe accordingly.
