I'm considering a torrified maple shaft. I've hit the OB Phoenix and loved it. Would love to hear some reviews of those playing a torrified maple shaft.

I can't put an extension on my playing cue because is a D series McDermott. Thinking about putting a Stinger break shaft on a McDermott G222 to make it a break cue. Would I be crazy to have McDermott put the Engage bumper for the Engage extension on the G222 with break shaft for the rare times...

I've heard that OB is closing it's doors. Would this give you any concern about purchasing a new OB shaft. Considering an OB Classic + or maybe the one with the wood ferrule for my Espiritu with steel joint. Any input on this is appreciated.

Yes I am aware of that. Just not sure which way I want to go. The G-Core is hollow whereas the Shon Hybrid is not. Don't the Meucci Pro is either. Not really looking to break the bank, just want to find a decent LD shaft. I spoke with Justin at Espiritu and he mentioned their XP5 shaft as...

My issues with the Predator shafts was more feel than performance. I won't deny they have great low deflection. But I thought my gen1 314 had a dead feel. I've also been presented with an opportunity to get a Schon Hybrid. I've read good things about them. Any input? Or maybe I'll just get...

I'll have to double check by I thought both Mcdermott and Meucci advertise them as low deflection. Maybe they advertise them as "high performance" which may be a bit different.

I spoke with both Mcdermott and Meucci and both can be ordered in 5/16x14 piloted and with black collar and silver ring to match my cue.

Considering an LD shaft for my 2003 Russ Espiritu. It has a 5/16x14 piloted joint. Never been a huge fan of the Predator shafts. Any input on the McDermott G Core shaft or the Meucci Black Dot shaft would be appreciated. They seem to be to my liking.

Thanks for the input. And huge thanks for the tip on the Ozone O3 shaft. That's cheaper than the OB1 we were looking at. I think I will give it a try.
