I got the Vantage shaft before it was released to public. It took some getting used to because my brain had built in squirt calculation for my Meucci. After playing with the Vantage shaft, I love it more every day. It provides a clean, solid hit. It puts a lot of spin on the ball. I...
I want to understand my game more, not just guess at it. I come from an Engineering background in the Semiconductor Industry for over 30 years. This job did not allow me to play pool and understand my game very much. For the past 8 years I have worked as a Realtor and now set my own schedule...
I was wondering if anyone else was trying to use statistics to understand and improve their game? If so how are you tracking it (database, excel, etc.). What stats do you track?
I am currently trying to track tournament game wins and loses, number of balls made on break in each game, and...
Thanks for all the great replys (and PM's). I will keep experimenting different systems in practice and hopefully the light will come on and I can understand the principals. Thanks again for the great advice.
Yeah, I am trying all the systems and so far all of the video's provide nothing helpful in improving my game.
Maybe me... I have been playing for over 40 years and looking to get to improve my game to the next level. I am willing to try them all and throw out the ones that don't work. It...
I bought the Pro One video and must say I still don't understand what CTE is??
Basically, I need a CTE for dummies.... I practice and the ball gets no where near the pocket. So for instance if I use a 15 degree perception. I imaging a line from center of CB to edge of object ball, then I...

Basically, I need a CTE for dummies.... I practice and the ball gets no where near the whole. So for instance if I use a 15 degree perception. I imaging a line from center of CB to edge of object ball, then I...
On Connelly website it says that they use K55 in one paragraph, but it says they use K66 in the next. Does anyone know which rail material I should get as a replacement?

Also, what is the best rail material if you were putting them on...
I tested on my table with slow motion video and it was good but not great. The 314-2 with one tip of english deflected .75 inches, but the Vantage deflected 1.75 inches. This was down 10 times and that is the average. I was using a medium slow stroke on samonis cloth on 8' table.
I used to say "Think Long, Think Wrong". Now I say, Think as long as it takes to make the shot... I enjoy the analytical aspects of the game, but I use them to practice. When it comes time to play, I fall back on the practice, not thinking...
No, I will play with it to get used to it.... I personally think that shaft diameter is a preference and you can get used to anything from 11mm to 14.5mm... I used to play with a custom Joss that had a 14mm shaft and it played very well. I have also played with z2 shafts (11.75mm) and they...
Yes, As I mentioned it is stiffer. And on my test if has more deflection than the 314-2. I do think Predator focused on stiffness and not on deflection on the 314-2. The Vantage took me some time to get used too and I am still inconsistent when English is applied to cue ball. Had to learn...
About $400 is my top. I have a Predator BK and it breaks good, but does not jump. And would like to have a break stick that will break down into a good jump stick.
The Super Pro on Seyberts is just $245.86. I would get them over the Tournament Balls.

My best memory would be that I started playing again after stopping in 1998 due to poor eye sight. I got my eyesight back with Lasik surgery and signed up here in AZB. Then I won that months AZB giveaway and got a new Predator 8K-4 to replace the Meucci from the mid 1990's.
So 2014 will go...
