Cue stick stroke with a spin.

What nobody is realizing is rockets tip is a piece of ultra soft material with sandpaper on top….

Cue stick stroke with a spin.

You know I have a lazy eye and occasionally have to do eye exercises to play my best because my vision center can fluctuate. Anyone else ever set up an object ball “straight in” then realize it’s not?😉😉

Cue stick stroke with a spin.

I’m not gonna knock you. I’d rather bank a ball cross side with draw to get back to the rail over cutting it and going 2 rails forward for shape on the next ball. A lot of players on here didn’t like that idea when it came up a while back on a WWYD. It is/was a 90+% shot for me.

Cue stick stroke with a spin.

No I just don’t think he realizes there is no way you can spin the cue without the tip moving slightly to the left or right unless you are a robot. Your body won’t do it unless it’s a slow, controlled spin on the way forward. All you have to do is try moving your arm forward and backwards and...

Cue stick stroke with a spin.

Well that sounds like you are actually applying backhand English during your stroke. I saw a 685 use your technique one time. He needed a lot of CB movement on a shot and did exactly what you are doing. If it’s straight in and maybe 2-4ft away try this. Aim to the exact spot on the object ball...

Looking For Opinions Re: Kielwood Cue Shafts.

It might just be me because my grip is a bit tighter but I don’t like the way the hit feels with any LD shafts I have tried. I want good feedback from both the tip hitting the ball and the vibration of the cue afterwards and LD doesn’t give that same feel except on a center ball hit. There is a...

    People buy this stuff?

I agree on the LD stuff. And shared the same opinion on the breakers until I ordered a $2500 custom cue to break with about a month ago. Now it turns me into a hypocrite if I agree with you on that one. Although I’d never shoot a Predator, $800 isn’t a bad price if it’s a breaker from the...

    Back to basics

That happened with one shaft that I ordered from Viking. 11.75mm. Same as a few others I own, but it played like shit! I broke it in half just like Hu and ordered another. I might not like the 12.5mm mentioned before because all my players have been 12mm or less for a long time. I’m used to the...

Well. How do you play? What kind of cue you shoot with?🍖😉

    Back to basics

I don’t much like my Owen 12.5mm shaft. but really enjoy playing with the 11.75mm. The hit with it leaves little to be desired from a cue. The 12.5 never gets used. But I have it if I ever want to sell which probably won’t happen. His keilwood plays nice too at 12mm.

    People buy this stuff?

Ah maybe they are taking one from Viking. I think those two feathers cues are butt ugly but they are/were limited edition and some love the designs and pay $1000’s for them. Now they have the PFD line or whatever. I don’t personally dislike the Predator design except the rainbow abalone or...

Think I need to change my break

That got lost in translation. But what you say does make some sense. When I break with follow I have to slow it down a notch to keep the cb on the table. So if I’m having a bad day of scratches or not making a ball over and over I’ll switch to a break that the cb goes through the rack on...

    More Diamond 7' bounce

That’s where the 3 to 4 rail back and forth happens. People look at me a little funny when instead of coming across twice I opt for 4 times. Like I’m trying to show off. But the diamonds where I play are way too fast to be really consistent at 2 back and forth a lot of times. 3-4 is just closer...

Is your best game one you actually don't prefer?

in a similar way I have different cue preferences for 8 and 9. Can use any cue for either but have a preference on which cue(s) I like to shoot with for each.

Is your best game one you actually don't prefer?

Ah. I do agree with you. 8 ball is probably the best for any skill level. You aren’t understanding the concept I am utilizing in this discussion though. Simple referred to one’s mental usage. 8 ball is more complex. But something being more complex in no way means it’s more difficult. It does...

Is your best game one you actually don't prefer?

Not contradicting Chili. We all see things differently. That post is my opinion. To me 9 ball is the simpler game. I specified that that doesn’t mean it’s easier. I’m saying the pattern is easy in 9 ball. There is only 1 pattern. It’s simple to figure the pattern out. Takes maybe 15 seconds...

Is your best game one you actually don't prefer?

Totally. I personally lose interest playing 9 ball. Moreso when playing a weaker opponent. But by myself it’s no fun at all. Thats why I only practice 8. I don’t care what anybody says about it. 9 ball is simple. That doesn’t mean it’s easier. But It’s only one pattern. Thats it. If you are...
