How about a "reality" show that follows the life of a road player around the country.

    Ft. Polk/Leesville, LA pool rooms???

Man, Ft. Polk. I used to work the JRTC TDY thing all the time. If I remember right, the strip club had a table in the back. Also check the clubs on post edit. also there used to be a club that had like 30 or more frozen daiquiri machines. attached to that place is a bar with some tables. (I...

Predator 10 Ball Live Broadcast on Now with Jerry Forsyth Commentating

What kind of tables are they using? Those tables look very nice. The rails are perfectly flat over the pockets (even more than a Diamond). Does anyone know what kind of tables these are? (edit) or maybe they are Diamonds. jet black Diamonds.

Predator 10 Ball Live Broadcast on Now with Jerry Forsyth Commentating

This stuff is awesome! I really think that live streaming is the future of pool promotion. I can't wait until someone figures out how to efficiently encode high resolution/ High Def. then it will really take off.

    Need cue suggestion

How about the Fury DL series? I have a DL-4 that I got years ago and it is still straight and solid. http://www.fury-cues.com/pool-cues-fury-series.asp?SortID=3

    An Accuracy Drill

Set up 2 balls along the indicated lines to make pocket more narrow. Try shooting in object ball from different cue ball placements without touching the blocker balls. You may have to adjust the blockers in or out depending on skill level...

What wood would you use for your next custom cue?

Here is my regular playing cue... The handle is Highly figured birds eyed maple which really stands out. The rest is purpleheart. I'm not sure if you would like purpleheart, but it does get darker over time. Purpleheart is well known for playing good too. Here is another cue with a Bocote...

Eye opening drill... Point & Shoot

Eye opening drill... Point & Shoot

OK, Last night I started trying this to see if my positioning needs work. You simply play whatever you want EXCEPT that before each shot, point on the table with your cue tip where you want to leave the cue ball after the shot. I now realize that I have been more of a shot maker than a position...

Question. Is this ferrule supposed to unscrew?

The owner says that it IS made to come off. Where would you get new ferrule/tips?

Question. Is this ferrule supposed to unscrew?

The cue is an older model (70s?). Should it come off like this or should I glue it down? This is the cue...

    Gambling and Pool

I don't think the problem is gambling, it is hustling. Unfortunately, it is very easy to hustle in pool. Some were arguing that football has gambling and it is ok, but imagine how bad it would look if it were discovered that the quarterback "threw" the game because of a bet. I think that it is...

How to keep my shaft perfect?

Don't get married. just kidding. What I find works for me is denatured alcohol and then barnish with a piece of non-died leather as some others have suggested.

    Gimmicks?

I've seen several custom cue makers selling their own laminated shaft designs. One thing that I did notice is that the width of the shaft and the tip make a huge difference. I have an OB-1 and I love it. It is very consistent and has low deflection. The width is probably down to 12.5mm by now...

    How do you chalk?

Update After just one day of practice, I am almost in the habit of chalking with my shooting hand. It was awkward at first, but it's getting easier. Let's see if that will help reduce the amount of chalk build-up on my OB-1 shaft.:) Also, as someone else mentioned above, I have learned from...
