I've never heard of him, but I'm guessing he can play if he took out Bergman.

Can you make out the name of the person that put Justin Bergman in the losers bracket?

    USA Mosconi Cup Team

Didn't Bergman win one of the Hardtimes tournaments this year with a pretty strong field? He also just placed 2nd in the Memphis Open which had a ton of top pros. Steinway Classic next week: Several MC hopefuls there including Bergman and Sossei.

Klatt Double Dips Bergman to Win Memphis Open 10 ball

Thanks to Ray I got to watch hours of top flight 10 ball this weekend and I feel like there is a crop of players in the US that a just on the brink of being in that "top world" category. The next year will tell the tale for a lot of US players. With the Asian, European and Philippine players...

Klatt Double Dips Bergman to Win Memphis Open 10 ball

Klatt is Canadian, The Iceberg is 100% home grown, and is already on the preliminary US Mosconi cup team (final lineup tba).

Klatt Double Dips Bergman to Win Memphis Open 10 ball

This format was grueling and tested the players mental focus and physical stamina every bit as much as their playing ability. It was a real test of pool. Never seen so many hill/hill or close to it matches in one tournament. I think Jeremy Jones lost both his matches 17-16. Archer showed a...

Memphis Open Wed July 23-27 - Details Including How to Watch

Some pretty damn good 10 ball going on right now in Memphis. Thanks Ray! Did Archer really just put a 6 pack on Rubin?

SJM's Slant on the CSI 8-ball Scandal

I still say this decision isn't a big deal, and it's mostly the anti-Shane, anti-CSI people stirring the pot, or just people who like to see pot's get stirred in general. That said, if Ko was actually told he would not be paid if he forfeit his match AFTER Ralf had been paid for his forfeit...

    First Break and Run

First rack of 9 ball I ever BnR'd was in 1992 at The Rack in Memphis, TN. I was in the Navy and had just been stationed there and went to The Rack around 1 in the afternoon. I got some balls, went up to one of the 9' Gold Crowns and racked them up. A guy was watching me from the rail. I put my...

    CSI INVITATIONAL 8-BALL (July 23-25, 2014) 16 Players (Winner $8K/ Runner up $5K)

Scenario 1= The rule was that if a Round Robin winner forfeit prior to the knockout round, he would be replaced by the runner up from that group. This scenario speaks for itself. Scenario 2= The rule was that if the winner of a Round Robin group forfeits his spot in the knockout round, the...

    CSI INVITATIONAL 8-BALL (July 23-25, 2014) 16 Players (Winner $8K/ Runner up $5K)

Hungarian is 100% correct. This isn't a big deal at all, except to a very small but vocal minority of SVB haters on this forum. I'd even wager that if it were Dennis or Daz or someone other than Shane, the "outrage" wouldn't be nearly as vitriolic.

    2014 World 9-Ball Championship

Interesting. Shane makes over 250k a year, and could probably get staked (considering his skill level and following in the US) for six figures if he needed. So flip it around: where are the legions of Asian and Middle-Eastern players showing up in South Dakota or Las Vegas to get some of that...

Mosconi Cup, Team USA, the real problem still exists.

I find it hard to believe, that in the wealthiest country in the world, a country with 350 plus million people, that no one would sponsor Mike to China. Arguably the #2 Rotation pool player in the United States should be able to attend this match, if he wanted to.

Alex Pagulayan going to UK to try pro snooker

What are the odds that I was reading this post on one screen and watching Van Boening VS Parica on another screen and Danny D and Jimmy W were just talking about Quinten Hann?

    Mosconi Cup...pick your five!

I've also wondered why Archer's name gets tossed around with some of these guys when talking about "bans" or "suspensions" from certain events. I've never seen this guy act like anything but a professional in 20 years.

Question(s) regarding the "legal break rule".

After watching the Different Open in Greece today, I had a few questions about the "legal break" rule. If you fail to execute a "legal break", does the incoming player have the option to pass if he is hooked on the object ball, or is he forced to shoot or push out as if he had broken the balls?

    Athens Open Last 32

This guy in the pink shirt looks like he plays pretty sporty. Seriously though, while watching his match my predominant thought was " what a great Ambassador for American poolplayers".

if you could play like a pro?

I remember watching the finals of a tournament in Tulsa years ago with Buddy and a very young Danny Harriman. Things I remember about that match: 1. I was very young and new to the game. 2. Thinking Danny was an amazing spectacle to watch, making shots from everywhere that I couldn't dream of...

My wife and I were both feeling under the weather today so we decided to cancel the baby sitter, cook an early dinner and spend the evening with Justin,Karen and Mr. Varner. My wife literally spit her drink out when Bautista missed that 10 ball to win the tournament. Thanks to all that made...
