IQ and its relation to progression

Not necessarily. I remember about 10-15 years ago it was a TIME magazine issue where they collected the stories of the people with the highest IQ in the U.S.A. above 180 Only a couple of them had a success in life, most were like the society likes to call them " losers", some were still living...

Looking for action/tourneys Tampa Bay area

Yep, I agree with everything that CaptainHook said. A real nice bunch of folks. I played on the same team with Dale and Boone for a little bit when I started shooting pool a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure I will recognize CaptainHook if I see him. I used to go there quite often, now I...

What key ways will you try to improve your pool game for 2013?

My key way to improve my pool game would be trying to get more time to practice on a real table. And more practice. Period.(no matter if it's on a real pool table or on my dresser and floor like I do at the moment) At least 40 hours a week, just practice. No games. After a few months of...

Come to City Billiards in St.Pete ask for Van or J.B. They are always looking to gamble. Or there's a bar box tournament across the street at Frank's bar every friday and saturday night. A lot of high level players show up there. Casey Merrel will play anyone for money. Also there's a lot of big...

Opponent played safe on me. What would you do and what I did

I don't think you're in any danger at this stage of my game:grin-square: But pretty soon...pretty soon.... I am getting more confident during my practices ..:banghead: but when I get a chance to practice on a real table- then everybody better watch out :bash::bash:

Opponent played safe on me. What would you do and what I did

wouldn't it be easier to kick off one rail than off of two?? Every time the ball comes off a rail it means you can be prepared for surprise. I always thought that it's easier to make one rail kick than 2, 3, 4 or more rails.

Opponent played safe on me. What would you do and what I did

Nice job! I don't even imagine what 2 rail kick you're talking about, I just don't see it and if I cannot see a shot in my head, I wouldn't even try it. I just looked at the layout from a different perspective and if I had to kick at the ball, the only kick I see is a one rail kick( kicking the...

Pros who started to play pool late.

Every time I meet a pro or read about one, all of them got one thing in common - they all started playing really young, a lot of them during single digits of their age. Does anyone know if there are any pros or champions who started playing the game late and made it to the top?? I heard that Ray...

    One rail kick/bank...looks easy?

Once a while I go to a bar where there's no diamonds on the table, well, they were there once, but with the heavy usage after many years they are invisible. How do you use diamonds on a table where you cannot see them? It's gotta be a better way to kick without using diamonds.

I don't understand how it's possible to shoot without a bridge or apply english with a bridge. Or probably I don't understand what you're talking about.:)

Is There Some Hidden -or- Special Meaning To Your Unusual Az Name / Avatar?

Back in 1986 I started my first band, which got to be popular back in Siberia, where I from. If I translate the name of the band into English it would be Miller's Hut. Since I wrote all the music and lyrics, everyone started calling me Mad Miller and the name stuck.
