I Got Screwed!!!! Zims Rack --please read-- Michael Zimmerman

Like studying? I think before congratulating him on 20 hours of pool a week, we should know how he is doing in school. Just a thought.

I Got Screwed!!!! Zims Rack --please read-- Michael Zimmerman

Somebody probably already said this but I'm not going to read the whole thread. If the cue ball hit a rail AFTER striking the object ball, that is sufficient. If it only struck the rail BEFORE striking the object ball and not after then it is a foul.

    Cue case recommendation

I also think Guiseppe is the best case for the money. Their designs are a direct ripoff of Whitten's custom cases, if that doesn't bother you I say go wit Guiseppe. BTW, don't let the name fool you, their not Italian or American made.

Sarah Rousey comments on the Women's Worlds

Joey from reading the blog I get the impression she did speak out in private, but all she got for it was a snide wisecrack.

Sarah Rousey comments on the Women's Worlds

Sarah is top shelf IMO. There are probably a lot more women players there thinking the same thing, but afraid to speak out. I'm proud to know her, the little lady has some balls (metaphorically speaking of course:)). Things probably won't change, but they definitely won't unless people like...

    John Schmidt 6 Pocket Challenge

Fargo is like Equal Offense except you spot anything that goes in on the break, take ball in hand for your first shot, and switch to rotation whenever you choose not at a prescribed number of balls. From AZ's own Mike Page http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHj6KUw8xzE

    John Schmidt 6 Pocket Challenge

And "Fargo".... I think they all morphed from Allen's game. It's called Equal Offense isn't it? Personally I think it is a good practice routine, but I wouldn't think it would be very enjoyable as a competition. Where is the player interaction, playing safes when stuck, etc.

Jeanette Lee to Star in the 9-ball Movie

Good lord please NO!! Kingpin sucked so bad, all something like that can do is make pool's situation worse. Maybe a good comedy revolving around pool, but nothing like Kingpin. I've often though that a APA league scenario could be a good vehicle for a situation comedy. Some of the things I've...

Jeanette Lee to Star in the 9-ball Movie

I think that these movies not only don't help pool, that they might even hurt pool.

Jeanette Lee to Star in the 9-ball Movie

I agree, the big problem with every pool movie I've seen since "The Color of Money" has been really pathetic plot lines.

yowza! anyone see the latest hot pool chick?

If I found the right picture she doesn't look HOT to me, cute but not hot. Looks like just another cute kid and there seems to be no shortage of them in pool lately. Question is can she play, does anybody know?

    icebreaker tips

There was a slomo posted of this shot (not by Corey, somebody else) and the cueball most assuredly went off the shaft. I personally agree with you it is impossible without fouling and damn near impossible even if you foul. BTW Corey, why did they make the Icebreaker so damn ugly. I have never...

    baby powder and talc ?

The rooms I knew growing up didn't have a powder dispenser, they had a chalk cone which was a LOT less messy than baby powder. The cone only effected the players hand and shaft and didn't wind up with a lot of loose powder all over the place. The problem isn't people like you who make an honest...

    baby powder and talc ?

I think it does no harm to your cue, but it does make it more sticky so you need more powder which means more mess for everybody else to contend with. Just wash your hates and keep your shaft clean, no need for powder. Steve.<== Hates seeing somebody using powder where I'm playing.

az get together at country club in chelmsford

Mark K. and Joe started this a couple of years ago. It is a little north of Hartford. It is kind of a mini-tournament, cue show, and get together in one. I went to the first one and enjoyed it, but then Mark changed it to 2 days and I didn't want to get a motel room for it, it wasn't good enough...
