Do You Enjoy Watching Pros on 4" pockets?

Yes, good to see them look somewhat normal.

2009 World Ten Ball Champ still unpaid!

And the beat goes on, and on, and on... This goes along well with the snooker dumping scandal. The corruption always has and always will exist at all levels of this sport. It seems I'm always reading on hear somebody praising some hustler for taking advantage of some sucker. Small time...

    Triangle Chalk

I don't see the price as a problem. Yeah, it is too high, but how long does a single cube of chalk last? It last me a pretty long time. If it just aggravates you that they charge that much for it I can see that, but personally I just figure I like it enough not to worry about that.

    Nit Shirt

I want one that says "I'm a nit, but that doesn't make me a bad guy".:) It would go good with my "Slacker" t-shirt.

What's your take on people that won't gamble?

I think that is precisely what has happened in a lot of places. The average Joe who doesn't gamble and plays for fun doesn't exist in nearly the numbers he used to and that is why there are a lot fewer rooms around.

What's your take on people that won't gamble?

I guess that can be construed of as paying for instructions.

What's your take on people that won't gamble?

Rather than give you a meaningless rep that nobody will see when you've probably already have a roomful of them, I'll just say "Hear, hear". I only gamble when it is the only way to keep score and an intrinsic part of the game, like in poker. If you can keep score some other way I see no point...

What's your take on people that won't gamble?

Why I think people who don't gamble are just fine and dandy. For some people it is about the game not the money. Steve.<== Doesn't gamble.

How Do You Aim By Feel

Koop, I think "aiming by feel" just means that the techniques for aiming become sub-conscious. Some people learn a method, CTE, ghostball, whatever, but after they've really got to know it they don't think about it and it just done "by feel". Others never learned a "system", they just shot and...

Snooker World No. 1 John Higgins in betting scandal

Reminds me of the old story of a guy who offered a woman a million to sleep with him. Whey she said "Yes", he said now that we know you're a whore we're only negotiating price. A whore is a whore, a scumbag is a scumbag.

Snooker World No. 1 John Higgins in betting scandal

I don't know if I'd go that far, but I've always liked Earl despite his antics and that little anecdote only goes to raise my opinion of him.

Snooker World No. 1 John Higgins in betting scandal

The bottom line is that gambling corrupts all sports. Whether it is boxing, baseball (go Black Soxs), pool, or snooker, corruption will happen and it is the most negative aspect of gambling legal or otherwise. A strong organization for the sport can accomplish a lot to control it, but it will...

    8 ball Instruction

Accu-stats sponsored an 8-ball tournament years ago. You might want to get those dvd's and just listen to Bill Incardona's commentary, you can learn a lot just doing that. Particularly interesting is the 3rd game of the Reyes-Bustamante match.

Which pool player has the most "textbook" fundamentails??

Agreed and the same could be said to a lesser extent of Ralf. Though he doesn't have the obsessive compulsive traits of cleaning the cloth, moving the chalk, etc., he does play so slow I just can't watch his matches.

Economy upturn too slow to help me

Tough break. I hope you're not one of us older Americans, I was laid off a year and a half ago. There isn't much post-60 in the high tech industry. Good luck, I hope you find something soon. Steve.<-- will be winning the lottery any day now.

    Pool Shoes

I'm perfectly comfortable in Pumas, but if you want a perfectly fit shoe to exactly your specification and don't mind spending a lot. Try Russell Moccasin Co., they make custom boots, moccasins, and shoes. They have you outline your feet and take I think 17 measurements. They guarantee a good...

best background music for shooting pool?

"Pretty Woman" was a great song as were most of Roy's. However, the best music for playing pool is none at all unless it is played soft which it never is in a commercial room. Steve.<== Doesn't like his music loud.
