David Francis your cue is finished..

Another amazing cue from Bob !! Although the whole cue is amazing, the complicated veneer work in the butt is quite impressive. Kudos!

    Diamond Professional Table Delivery Times

I ordered a 9' Pro-Am about a month ago and was told 6-9 months., not sure if the Pro would be any different.

    Shaft wax/polish

E-Bay. This is the one I've been using with good success, although there are several others out there that may work just as well. I've delivered nearly 30 shafts with this coating on the shooting end and people seem to really like it. I'm not charging separately for it as a $25 bottle seems...

    Shaft wax/polish

Seal, sand to 3000, and coat with nano-ceramic. This has been working great, I'm on my second bottle.

    Fishing in my pool case

Tape a large easy-out to the end of a shaft. All you need to do is engage the threads of the JP enough to grab hold and pull it out. Gorillar Tape may also do the trick, similar concept.

Fully restored GC3 for $5K or brand new Diamond Pro-Am for $11K. ???

I think I'll stick with the brand-new 9' Diamond Pro-Am with the new color finish and matching light. Wanted the one-piece slate but unless I can provide a crane to get it upstairs, I'm having to do the 3-piece. I'm not too concerned about that. With the right mechanic, I should be fine. It...

    Simonis cloth

Not that I can tell. I even sold some that I had and just ordered replacements. I have since ordered a new Diamond table that will come with 860HR so have extra cloth sitting in my basement that I won't need for a while. I have two boxes of 9' tournament blue 860HR that I'll sell at cost if...

Fully restored GC3 for $5K or brand new Diamond Pro-Am for $11K. ???

I'm on the fence. Money is not the issue, I'm just wanting to make the best decision. Thoughts?

Az Members who build their own cues please post photo's of your new and old work!!!!

Work in progess, very simple and early on in the build, but this is what he wanted. African Ebony and Cocobolo. Wrapless. Double Black Butt and Joint from Joey. Rings are Solid Copper with Ebony/Copper Segmented Rings. Full core in maple , 30". No finish yet, he's trying to decide on Satin...

Differences between the versions of Gold Crown Tables?

I searched the forum but couldn't find any reference to this thread, which surprises me. I was looking into new and used Gold Crowns and see so many different versions (7?). Is there a chart somewhere that outlines the differences between them? I'm considering a used GC instead of the 9'...

    Cue wrap preference

I've done a few elephant ear conversions over the past several months and have generally liked the look and feel better than leather. Lizard skin provides a unique feel as well but can be fairly thin sometimes which can cause a hassle with wrap channel depth. In my brief experience, it seems...

    Coat over linen at home?

Just send it to PB and be done with it. Not that costly.

Moving to Jacksonville, FL - need a table mechanic to install my Diamond and new cloth. Also looking for decent places to play, APA and otherwise.

I'm a bit confused at this point. Some say absolutely NO to Wes and YES to Tony only, some say the opposite, some say Tony isn't certified, some say he is. I'm not all that concerned about "certified", I'm more focused on talent and results. I just want the best install I can get for an...

    Coat over linen at home?

My old neighbor did his without a lathe, it turned our pretty good. He used a cordless drill on the joint pin and a wood dowel at the butt clamped to two sawhorses... pretty funny but it worked for him.

    Cue wrap preference

If the frayed spot bothers you, leather may not be the best choice. Many folks find the seam to be bothersome. You can do a superior installation and create a near-perfect seam, but if you really want to find it, you can. If your hands are sensitive enough, you will feel it from time to...

    Cue wrap preference

If you have a ding in the linen, and love the look of it, hate to lose it, and are okay with a wrapless feel, then perhaps having the linen covered over is an option. This is what the Meucci cues have. You get a wrapless feel and a wrapped look. I for one, like that look. If you wanted to...
