    Best One Piece House Cue

Yes I looked for a while now and despite the China angle the Dufferins seem to still be the best. Anyone else have any ideas?

    Best One Piece House Cue

Trying to get some new one piece house cues for the guests when they come over to play. I looked at Dufferin but heard they are made in China now and quality has gone down badly. Any ideas on some one piece cues that would be good quality and come in a set preferably. Just plain house cues...

That is certainly interesting looking. Not what I had in mind though.

Pool Cue Bridge - Not the detachable ones.....

I am looking for opinions on a nice pool cue bridge for my home table set up. I have a Corona Tiger that slips on my break cue for when I play in leagues but I want to get something nicer and permanently attached to a dedicated bridge cue that will go under my table. What I have right now is a...

    58" or 59"???

Hi thanks for posting. I don't think I'll bother Bill with that question and I decided to go with a 58".

Jump/Break Cue, with or without Wrap?

Hi David, you lost me somewhere around the speed of light thing lol. I do understand what you are getting at though. Seems like wrapless is the way to go scientifically. There are those that play by feel and superstition though too. Didn't the old timers just use their playing cue for breaks...

    58" or 59"???

All good points. After careful consideration I decided to stick to the 58" length and buy a 2" extender to try it out. Thanks for all the comments and information guys.

Jump/Break Cue, with or without Wrap?

Interesting advice about making the break cue feel like the playing cue. My playing cues are all linen wraps. I've only ever had a non wrap break cue. I'll try breaking with a low end cue with wrap to see how it feels.

Jump/Break Cue, with or without Wrap?

Could use some feedback on people's opinion about whether or not they prefer using a jump/break cue with or without a wrap. Specifically what are some pros and cons of the wrap or no wrap. Thanks

What to specify when ordering a custom cue?

That's a good point. They are artists in their own right. Need to have creative flexibility.

What to specify when ordering a custom cue?

Hi Mitch, thanks for the input. Forgot to mention the ferrule lengths will be 1" ivory, and will have a 5/16-14 piloted joint, the butt diameter will match the original as well. How would you specify the center of gravity? What are the options on that? Don't most builders put some kind of...

What to specify when ordering a custom cue?

It will be a half splice. The cue is a tribute cue so the veneers and inlays will be like in the original. What is cored? I know what it means to core something but can you specify that to a builder? What does it entail doing?

What to specify when ordering a custom cue?

Forgot to mention cue matching joint protectors.

What to specify when ordering a custom cue?

So I am relatively comfortable with most aspects of ordering a custom cue but I am curious to know how detailed guys are with specs, other than the basic things like: Length (50/50 split even?) Weight (do you specify how much the butt should weigh and each shaft?) Shaft diameter Shaft taper...

    58" or 59"???

Hi Bob, I have a pretty long bridge usually a full 12" back from the cue ball. I typically don't run out of stick in the manner you described but primarily because I have trained myself not to grab the cue behind the wrap. And you are correct because after developing a good feel for speed and...
