    58" or 59"???

Ok I'll try the extension first. Anyone know of a good brand or custom maker that has a 2" extension for a 5/16×14 joint? Doea anyone make a 1" extension? Just curious because if I am going from a 58" cue to something longer I would like to go in small increments to test how the longer cue feels.

    58" or 59"???

Thanks, but I was referring to the methodology I stated in the earlier posts where I asked specifically from what point to what point should the measurement be taken, i.e., from the end of the ferrule (minus the tip) to the end of the butt (minus the bumper).

    58" or 59"???

I think I'll get the 59". Would really be helpful if people could comment on how they measure the cue length.

    58" or 59"???

Hi Matt, thanks for the comments. I was also wondering what most people do when ordering a custom cue with how the decide to spilt up the cue's lengths. For instance, if purchasing a 59" cue, would most want the shaft and butt to be even lengths of 29.5 and 29.5?

    58" or 59"???

Interesting comments. Maybe I'll pick up a cheapo 60" and shoot around with it to try it out before I give the final specs to the cue maker. Any comments on the measuring technique I described for the length of the cue?

    58" or 59"???

Trying to get some opinions on the differences between 58" and 59" cue play and action. Other than the obvious replies of: "the 58" is shorter than the 59", some constructive thoughts would be appreciate LoL. I'm getting a new cue made and have mostly played with a standard 58" for years now...

I searched the forum and found Gilbert's contact info but when I call it says the number is disconnected. I am wondering if he has a new number or only talks over email now? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Best Jump/Break Cue Combo by Custom Cue Maker

Anyone have some feedback or experience with Jacoby dedicated jump cues? There is an AZ member selling them and would like some opinions before I consider buying it. How do they perform? I guess it is not a custom made cue but still curious.

Thinking of selling a Gilbert and have questions about 5/16-14 versus 3/8-10 joints

Very interesting combination. Something I might consider as well.

Best Jump/Break Cue Combo by Custom Cue Maker

I checked out Treadway cues and think they look good and have an interesting design. I will do more research on those. Some people have said they prefer having dedicated jump and break cues. Can anyone provide names of cue makers that make those cues individually. It doesn't appear that...
