    Need help with cue ID

No problem I know the feeling! Let's call it an Adam then. Any ideas what this cue would be worth? I don't really think I'll sell it because of sentimental reasons but just curious. Thanks!

    Need help with cue ID

That's what I thought it was. It was my dad's and he had it for years in a case never used until I came across it about 15 or 20 years ago.

Hi I will get those pics tomorrow. Just put the cue away after playing a couple of hours with it on the basement 9' table.

    Need help with cue ID

Hi thanks for the link. I looked at that cue but the points are much brighter than on mine. They do have the same design but definitely have different color woods in the inlays. Are you sure they are the same?

Thinking of selling a Gilbert and have questions about 5/16-14 versus 3/8-10 joints

Thanks again CornerMan. I think the sound and feel of the hit with the old Adams cue I have with the 5/16-14 joint just sounds cleaner and more distinct than the thud I feel and hear with the 3/8-10 joint. Like I admitted earlier it could all be just psychological to me, but if my mind is...

Thinking of selling a Gilbert and have questions about 5/16-14 versus 3/8-10 joints

Haha good point! Just thought of something: are there 3/8-10 shafts that have metal threads inside? In other words, are there 3/8-10 shafts with female threads inside the shaft part that fit into the 3/8-10 male pin on the butt.

Thinking of selling a Gilbert and have questions about 5/16-14 versus 3/8-10 joints

Some really good feedback here thanks guys! As much as I would love to get the Tascarella with the 3/8-10 joint I think I'll wait and order one with the 5/16-14 from him directly. I think for some reason I can feel the difference between the two joints and if I am getting a new cue I'll stick to...

Hi Cornerman, I agree. No issues at all going from Gilbert to Tascarella. Just going to cost more $$$

Thinking of selling a Gilbert and have questions about 5/16-14 versus 3/8-10 joints

Hi HawaiinEye thanks for the input. I agree they hit different, and thanks for saying that because I was starting to think it was all in my mind like a psychological block or something lol. I'll post some pics of the Adams when I get a chance, as well as the Gilbert to see if anyone is interested.
