    I Hate These Auctions

Speaking of things I hate in eBay auctions How about when Dale Perry used to type in a giant list of cuemaker's names in white on his eBay auctions, thereby guaranteeing more hits when someone did a cue search.

    EBAY~ Tad Kohara NOT?

I was just making a joke since the original seller was informed by someone here on AZ that it was Taiwanese. Maybe a poor attempt at humor. But I appreciate you answering my questions.

    EBAY~ Tad Kohara NOT?

Speaking of mystery cues, did this cue ever turn out to be a Balabushka? http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=21761&page=8

    EBAY~ Tad Kohara NOT?

Wonder if this AZ dealer he spoke of knew it was a highly valuable cue the entire time, and therefore tried to push all the other bidders out? Is there a cuemaker in Taiwan named Szamboti:)

    EBAY~ Tad Kohara NOT?

Wow. Great find for you. I still don't understand why the seller changed the description and stated it was made in late 79 to early 80's. That might have cost him thousands--who knows? Marcus, how positive were you it was a Szam, and what about this cue tipped you off?

    EBAY~ Tad Kohara NOT?

According to an addition made to the eBay auction listing, it was stated that this particular cue was made in the late 70's to early 80's. I was just wondering if Barry was making cues that early in his career, or if the buyer was saying it might be a Gus.

    Nicest Cuemakers

Tim Scruggs. Years ago when I was searching for some yellow micarta ferrules he gave me two free of charge. Being that I live in the South where pecans are plentiful, I told him that I would send him some fresh pecans as a show of gratititude. I probably need to send him some more, this year...

    How much warp is "natural"

Here's a link to a site where one person built a contraption to test how straight various shafts were. If you read further down, he goes into an in depth discussion of his attempts to straighten warped shafts. With all the measurements I thought maybe Koehler wrote this article. If you want a...

Most Arrogant Cue DEALER? you ever delt with

Since we are on the subject of cuemakers, a while back there was a link on the homepage of AZ Billiards labeled "rare cues." There were many nice examples of cues being offered for sale, and pictures of those that had already sold. I can't find the link anymore, but I have always wondered...

    Most Arrogant Cuemaker???

Back in the 90's, Bludworth's son visited the local pool hall I used to play at. Finding out he was a cuemaker, I struck up a general conversation about cues, informing him that I played with a Schick. He basically told me that to him Schick cues were subpar, and they were known to click. I...
