There are many quality cues out there. I’ve had built for me with wood I’ve supplied; Mike Bender Dennis Searing Southwest (First if not only Pernambuco Cue) Perry Weston Bill Schick Steve Dunkel Jerry Rauenzahn ( Fastest most dependable on ETA) John Bender ( no relation to Mike) and a few...

    *****Perry Weston*****

Perry made me two cues and they played top notch, I still regret letting one of them go. Actually after he passed he had some wood left that I’d sent him with my name on the wood and it was returned to me. We had a lot of bs phone conversations about other than pool. He also built and submitted...

    Steve Dunkel

Steve built me a simple cue I sent him a piece of Jamaica Cocus wood that to be honest he wasn’t that enthusiastic about using. I wished a simple cue with mother of pearl inlays. His theyth broke down and he felt guility inlaying ivory rather than mother of pearl. Not only does the cue play well...

What top cue makers do all their own work?

I am sure a lot of cue makers do there own work. I believe Schick and Bender even make their own joint pins. What I’d like to know Is what cue builders tread the parts of their cues vs press fit. At one time I know Bender did and I’d guess he still does but haven’t asked him in awhile.

    Mike Bender

This only my opinion but it is from experience with many cues from Gus, Barry, Searing, Hercek, Perry Weston, Gina, Southwest and a good half dozen more. Mikes cues may not be the best because all of the mentioned cues are TOP of the LINE no doubt but Mikes Cues fit me. There is just something...
