    Meucci Cues.... Whats your opinion????

When I place 2 balls firm against the short rail at the other end of the table about 3 inches apart, I'm able to use BHE beautifully to pot either one. I find it easier to do with the UW shaft than my BD. I'm not sure why, but I just feel more confident with it. It's probably a "head" thing.

    Excited with new "method(s)"

On bank shots I'm very happy with the method(s) I've learned from Dr. Dave after having purchased his book "The Illustrated Principles of Pool & Billiards". Truly, I've read this book from cover to cover at least 20 times. Every time I go through it I get something else.

    Excited with new "method(s)"

When I bend down to the table and align my left side of the ferrule with the left edge of the CB (I'll be pocketing the OB to the right hand corner pocket from the head spot), I firmly plant my closed bridge hand on the table aligned with the edge of the OB and then leaving my hand planted...

    Interesting CTE INFO

I've been having so much success with "pivoting", I almost don't dare re-align with a parallel shift (but I'll try it, because foremost, I'm an experimenter);)

    Excited with new "method(s)"

breakthrough I'm not anywhere near the billiards room right now, but I'll try to reconstruct from memory what I've found that is working: In your question, if I'm down near the foot spot and the OB is on the head spot, after I do my initial aiming while standing up, as I bend down into the...

    Interesting CTE INFO

I'm having most of my improvement around the TOI, but I've also noticed that lining up the edge of the ferrule and then pivoting has been a great help, too.

    Interesting CTE INFO

I'm really excited lately after having tried the CTE and TOI method(s). I've finally hit a breakthrough and I'm potting balls like crazy. My thanks to all of you for posting this helpful aiming systems information.

    Meucci Cues.... Whats your opinion????

Ordering another Meucci cue I love my Meucci cues so much, I'm going to order yet another one. This order is going to be for the PA-5 Patriot with 2 Ultimate Weapon shafts. I can't wait. :)

    Excited with new "method(s)"

I've been reading all the different topics related to CTE and TOI and a host of other aiming methods with great curiosity here on the Forum lately. I've also been trying them all in fragmented, half-understood ways. Today, I had a breakthrough! I've been standing up at the table eying the line...

    Question about 8 ball rule

Yes, I understand. If we scratch on any object ball, it's a foul and the opponent gets ball-in-hand anywhere on the table (except on the break a scratch is played in the kitchen). If we scratch immediately after potting the 1-Ball or the 15-Ball, these balls are spotted and play continues with...

    Question about 8 ball rule

The way we all play 1-15 is that the only balls that get re-spotted are the 1 and the 15. That way, I can pot the 1 in pocket after pocket trying to get shape and when I finally pocket it in it's assigned side pocket (to the left of the Breaking Player) than it stays down. Thanks for your reply.:)

Thank you. This makes the most sense.:)

    Question about 8 ball rule

4 of us were playing 1 - 15 (Alabama 8-Ball) at the Senior center today and here's what happened: On the break, no ball was potted. This left an "Open" table. The next shot, an attempt was made at a solid ball but was not completed and the table remained "Open". Continuing on, the next player...

    New Years Billiard Resolutions?

I'm practicing 4 to 4 & 1/2 hours a day, 5 days a week now and all the hard work is producing results, finally. I'd like to work on the sweet spot of a 9-ball break some more. (Just can't seem to pot that danged old 1-ball enough of the time.) Also, just a little more study on staying down...

    One - Fifteen

One-Fifteen is what the fellows call the game here in eastern Tennessee where I shoot billiards every weekday for about 4 or 5 hours. Standing at the head spot, the 1 ball must be pocketed on the left side of the table in the side pocket and the 15 ball on the right side in the side pocket. The...

    Meucci Cues.... Whats your opinion????

The evolution of a meme All this Predator talk reminds me of psychology classes I took many years ago in college where "predators & parasites" were discussed. Somewhere along the line, Bob Meucci's company turned out a few poor cues or provided some less-than-satisfactory service and the word...

    Meucci Cues.... Whats your opinion????

I've never had even one moment's problem with any Meucci cue stick or shaft. I've got old cues and new cues. I really like the new cues and especially the Black Dot and Ultimate Weapon shafts. I couldn't even tell you how many players have used my shafts and put their Predators away and ordered...

    The Ultimate Weapon Shaft

UW a step up from Black Dot! I went ahead and bought the UW shaft after all. I love it. I can barely notice the difference between it and my Black Dots on all the short stuff, but the long shots where I'm using sidespin on the cue have improved markedly. To me, that's what I paid for. My Meucci...
