    The real way to AZB

My "Zero-X" instruction DVD has helped me in just about every way possible at improving my shooting abilities. Also my book from Dr. Dave is fantastic. That was a couple of years ago but I still refer back to them once in a while.:)

Predator Vantage vs Meucci Pro Shaft

I just love my Power Piston Meucci cue with my UW shaft.

    Tip Size

I like 10.7 and 11.25 for pool and 9.5 for snooker.

    9-Ball Chaos

I've played quite a bit of 9-Ball over the years (never in a tournament and never intentional slop) and I've certainly had no problem with ball-in-hand combinations on the 9-Ball. My whole point is my surprise and disgust with the bang-as-hard-as-you-can, hope-for-a-potted-ball approach to the...

    9-Ball Chaos

Great post. Thanks. "Carnival Game" is appropriate.

    9-Ball Chaos

Never been in one. I live so far back in the woods my zip code is EIEIO.:D

    9-Ball Chaos

Check back through the topic and point out to me where exactly I said, or for that matter, implied that I was better. The point of the post is a simple complaint about my expectations not being met. I never expected the type of game I signed up for. I assure you I'll be more watchful of the...

    9-Ball Chaos

Congrats. I probably would of liked playing in your tournament.

    9-Ball Chaos

8-Foot tables. I'll just shoot 10-Ball from now on. Quite surprised at all the dedicated fans to bang-it-around-hoping-for-luck-9-Ball on the forum. The person who spoke of it being a "special group" may have been on to something. I've never seen such a field of poke-and-hopers before.

    9-Ball Chaos

My apologies if I’ve posted this topic in the wrong area. Please move it if need be. After entering a 9-Ball “tournament” last night, I’ve decided not to ever enter one like this one again. The event was alternate break/rack. No problem with that. What I didn’t care for was the fact that...

Why do Pool Players Unconsciously NOT Want to Improve?

    I never have.....;)

Why do Pool Players Unconsciously NOT Want to Improve?

I agree. Both C.J. and Dr. Dave are artists in what they do. They "live" in their abilities and generously share with those who can be helped and might not otherwise be made aware of other possibilities. They pay attention to what is happening around them on the pool table and make evaluations...

    Best "production cue" builder

I love my Meucci's the best, too. I've played Schon, Mezz, Pechauer, Joss, etc., etc., the list goes on, but I love my Meucci's. Especially with the UW shaft.:)

Old 97-3 Meucci Cue with Red Dot shaft

If you decide on the UW, just call Budget Cues (www.budgetcues.com) (the Meucci plant in Bahalya, Mississippi) and have them make you a UW shaft having a 13mm size (or whatever your choice is) instead of the 11.25mm size. Have a great day.

Old 97-3 Meucci Cue with Red Dot shaft

My Black Dot shafts play too differently for me. I kinda grew up on the pre-Red Dots and then the Red Dots and got used to them. When the Black Dot came along I was quite surprised at the difference in deflection (especially on the long pots), and I really liked them for a while, but the more I...

Old 97-3 Meucci Cue with Red Dot shaft

I bought it today I bought the stick today and played 4 hours with it. It hits real nice. Got a good feel to it. I think I'll send the shaft to my buddy and have him turn it down to 11.00 mm (just a might smaller than my Ultimate Weapon). I've always liked the old Red Dots and I think I'll...

Old 97-3 Meucci Cue with Red Dot shaft

I have a chance to purchase an older Meucci cue in great condition. From what I could tell from looking through the Meucci archival pictures, it's a 97-3. It's green and rolls real true. The man told me he'd sell it for $175.00. I told him the Red Dot shaft was worth that much. I think it's a...

Breaking the law: get rid of the miss rule in snooker

Play it the old way. I am just barely getting into the game of Snooker. I love watching Ronnie O'Sullivan and others play it on YouTube. At the local hall where I play mostly pool, there is a 10-foot Snooker table and a couple of guys come in and play infrequently. They've played for many...
