    "couples"

I made up a game which is remotely similar to the game "Colors" but sufficiently different that it deserves its own name and rules. Here are the rules: OBJECT OF THE GAME “COUPLES” Colored-pair 8-Ball (“COUPLES”) is played with a cue ball and fifteen object balls, numbered 1 through 15...

    Annoying habits of the pros

quit sharkin' During a game of 8 Ball, when I'm on the 8 ball and all set to hit it in a pocket, the opponent reaches into a nearby pocket (within my sight line) and retrieves balls for the next game; or gets the rack out and starts swinging it. Each and every time they do that I ask them if...

What are some of your most memorable moments in billiards?

Boo hoo, mine doesn't have a pool table, just the little guy standing there with a cue stick.;)

Is Touch Of Inside "the teacher"

Drat it all! Any time I set a shot up for TOI I can shoot with confidence knowing it'll pot through the center of the pocket. I ran 59 balls yesterday and missed because of a miscue while trying a draw shot where I lunged at the ball. I guess it's time to practice drawing the CB again. :o

Is Touch Of Inside "the teacher"

A question I've noticed that when the CB and OB are close to one another at angles of around 40 - 45 degrees and I'm shooting all the ways up-table, I have to apply very little TOI and the OB can easily go off course with too much TOI. Am I reading this situation correctly? Thanks in advance.

    MEUCCI PRO Shaft

Meucci I have several Meucci butts and shafts and I love each and every one of them. Right now, I just can't seem to put my "Ultimate Weapon" shaft down long enough to go to my "Black Dot" or my old "Red Dot" or any of my old un-named Meucci shafts. I also really like their "Power Piston"...

    Cue Tip

If it's a "new" tip, it seems to be missing several layers. I fail to understand why so many layers would be removed from an 11-or-so-layer Moori or Kamui.

I just bought this table 3 weeks ago and I really like it. The cushions are great and I put new Championship Teflon-treated cloth on it. It's out in my shop where I can play by the hour totally undisturbed. I actually like putting tables together having done three now. My favorite parts are...

    TOI Discussion Forum?

Interesting how you consider C.J's information "nonsense". I consider C.J. a "real instructor" and I also consider him to be "positive", not "negative". I have Dr. Dave's book and I've read through it many, many times. I also have another book on pool and I have all of Tor's dvd's. I have my own...

What I've learned from you, so far, is that you're one who seems to have to judge people. I really haven't learned much about pool/billiards from you. But, with so much to read, I may have missed it.

    TOI Discussion Forum?

Enjoy learning on this site I've learned more from CJ than any other on this forum. I've tried and tried his TOI and it finally fell into place after countless hours of practice and I am delighted with the advancement my playing ability has gained as a result of his (and mine) efforts. I do not...
