    Mezz shafts

Does anyone have any experience with mezz shafts? Specifically the the hit and feel of the 12.5 sigma and the 700. For comparison I own an ob classic plus, tiger pro, Bob dainelson kielwood and a meucci pro maple. I'm looking for something not stiff, on the softer side, like the meucci but with...

    Balance point and deflection

Been playing around with weight and balance point on my player and wondering if anyone is aware of studies, discussions or anecdotal experience with if balance point and weight affect the amount of deflection using the same butt and shaft? I remember seeing a clip a while back with earl trying...

Is anyone trying to get rid of a meucci power piston accelerator with a meucci pro shaft?

Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

Nope. My cue isn't angeled over the shot line like that, it's off to one side of wherever I'm adding english to.

It's only wrong in the sense that it's not perfectly parallel, it's parallel with a slight adjustment for deflection. But as your way has the cue angled, crossing over the original no-spin aiming line mine is "parallel-ish" to it but completely over to one side of it.

I'm trying to find a better representation of the two side by side, I'll have to do it myself. But this is the difference in the two methods we're discussing.

Just to make sure we're all on the same page, does your cue look like the first or third picture when spinning a shot?

Does your cue look like picture 1 or 3 when you're applying English?

I can't seem to find any true inepth explanation or videos on parallel english. All I ever find is people saying it only works at slow speeds and close shot distance as you did in your article. " For example, with a short distance between the CB and OB and/or with a firm shot, BHE (with an...

I feel the same about the swoop, seems extremely simple, but in practice things move too quickly to hit the exact spot you're intending every time.. I'm gonna look him up to see his style.

Yes, that's also how I shoot, the "auto adjustment" happens for the cueing angle while standing.

It's been around forever, it just means that the person aims like they're shooting with no English, then on their final strike they kinda swoop into the English.

It works on all shots of any speed. You might have not been adjusting for deflection enough. Where as you adjust for deflection with your method by "guessing" at the correct angle of your cue for that specific tip position, I adjust for deflection with parallel english by "guessing" at the...
