Do you feel you are more accurate with a smaller tip?

I've been wondering about this for a while and gave it a good try yesterday. I picked up my old cue, which has a 12.5mm tip and played with it for a while. I usually play with a Z3 shaft turned down to 10.75mm. It seemed to be much harder to do exactly what I wanted to do with the cueball with...

    The 9' table blues...

Here in Quebec it is almost only 9 footers that we have! Most bars have 1-2 9" and at best 1 7", pool rooms are usually 5-12 9" and 2-4 7"

    Squirt and Swerve

Yes, but this will depend on many things: Deflection of the cue Speed of the shot Elevation of the cue How much english is applied What prevents us from setting "known" shots where compensation is perfect I think mostly has to do with the fact that the squirt of the cueball varies depending...

The book "Pleasure of Small Motions" by Bob Fancher helped me greatly with this. I think you might also benefit from reading it!

JB Cases Gold Giveaway Winners Named

WOW!!!! That is some SUPER great news! That certainly made my month! It is a nice coincidence, I sent a PM to JB about 2 weeks ago asking for information since I was thinking of buying one of his case! I couldn't be happier about this! A big thanks to AZB and JB!

How do you aim bank & kick shots?

Your double the distance method looks a lot like what I've seen Dr. Dave call the mirror method. It does seem to be a very good method! I will give it a good try this evening. Thanks for your input.

How do you aim bank & kick shots?

You are very much off track about my intentions with this thread. The question is not “what kicking/banking system is the best” or “which one should I use”. It is a simple “what do you use/prefer and why”. But sorry I guess! How dare I try to get the opinion of the other members for...

How do you aim bank & kick shots?

How do YOU aim bank & kick shots? I am aware that CTE and other aiming systems might cover these shots, but please refrain from starting a debate about CTE. I have been reading about bank & kick shots today and the systems that are commonly used for them. I was wondering if there was a major...

Using hockey tape on a cue / extension

Anyone else have done this before? I have a Break-jump that is fairly ugly and the clear already started coming off (it's really a cheap piece of poop), but it does the job well enough that I wanted to keep it. Well I thought why not add some hockey tape, gonna have that grip feel that I love...

    cut induced throw?

I don't, but I've been looking at his posts / website in the last few days. I might eventually give it a shot. It sure seemed to be working well for him and some others!

Justin Bergman is only a barbox player and will never beat Shane race to 100.

Do you eat a lot of fibers? Where would you place your poop on the Bristol stool chart?

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

Yeah I'd agree with that. It makes a lot of sense. I just read Jay's reply to the thread. The way this went down is ridiculous. Jay definitely made the right decision.

    cut induced throw?

Another thread going off tracks it seems. To OP : I have not been playing for long, but I have found that I only need to compensate for CIT when planning on doing a stun shot. It seems to be almost negligeable with follow/draw shots, but then again I think tend to overcut slightly my shots, so...

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

Unless once again I'm missing something because I didn't read enough of the issue, it was a mistake that occured and they forgot to include him in the draw, rather than him arriving late? Or is it both? If it's only the mistake part and he was actually on time (and for some reason he didn't...

Jay Helfert resigned as Tourney Director at the US Open

Indeed I didn't. I should've included more clearly that if the tournament had already begun, the draw should have been kept as is.
