Oh and please give me a link to Ron Shephard's article, this is getting too funny :)

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

I feel really sorry for people who don't think a 90 degree cut shot is possible. In fact, you can go way past that. You don't even need to put sidespin on the cueball to get more throw. As soon as the website for the WEI table is up and running, I will post a few shots that are very possible...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

8ballbanger Hi 8ballbanger, you don't know what you're talking about. I am curious since you live on the other side of the equator things might be backwards for you from what they are here, being that your toilets and sinks flush and drain the opposite way of ours. :D First, I have been...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

Before anyone defends the ghost ball method anymore, try what I said to try in one of my other posts. As for other aiming systems, yes, I believe they can be used as a crutch for amatuers and beginners. For intermediate and above, aiming systems become more of a distraction than a tool. Most...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

That was a good post, and I feel that you have a very valid point. However, I have always felt that the main reason why most players miss simple shots is because of faulty mechanics, not incorrect aiming. I believe that aiming is not as big a part of the game as some may claim it is. For...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

That's exactly what I'm trying to say. The correct way to aim is by feel, which is comes with experience. Everything else (aiming systems) is more of a distraction than a tool to any intermediate and above player.

    Catbird Seat

Re: Re: Catbird Seat I guess double elimination is popular because basically pool is probably the only game where you can lose without ever getting a chance to play. Even if the guy doesnt break and run out the match, if you draw a guy who is playing lights out, then they shut you down...

    Catbird Seat

This has happened to me many times. If there is no available table to warm up before the match, I head to the bathroom and stretch my triceps, biceps, and shoulder of my stroking arm for about 2-4 minutes. After I do that, I put both of my hands under running warm/hot water for another 2 or 3...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

With proper instruction, anyone can learn the game faster. Being accurate, however, is not only in how you aim, but in how accurate your stroke is. A good stroke takes years to develop.

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

When a ball "bends" it doesn't curve around an impeding ball. I can't explain the motion in words, you are best to have an experienced player show you an example of "bending" object balls. All I can say is the ball slides in a certain direction for a millisecond, then takes off in the direction...

    Ghost Ball Aiming System= Wrong

For every shot that there is an angle, there is throw on the object ball. If there is throw, then aiming exactly at the "contact point" where the ghost ball was should cause you to miss. This is also the explanation why balls can "bend" or find their way to a hole when it seems that the shot is...

    Ask Keith McCready

Keith, I heard you used to play Ernesto Dominguez alot. Who usually came out on top when you two went at it, and did you guys play straight-up?

Funny thing in the midst of all this arguing my buddies invited me out for a round of golf, I havent played in about 2 years. I actually had a good time, it feels good to be outdoors for the whole day in nice weather. Since I lost I had to buy everyone a round of beers, but it was worth the fun...

    Shaft tapers?

This is the best post I've read in months. I really don't feel that a predator shaft or "minimal deflection" shaft or cue will make any noticable improvement on somebody's game. I can take a house cue and do certain things with the cueball that other people with a $3000 Ginacue can't. I don't...

    Pay to watch men's Pros?

Re: Re: Pay to watch men's Pros? Why do you think Immonen and Deuel are way overrated?

That's fine, get over it now.

one makes apple juice and the other makes orange juice, whats your point
  19. P

    Corey Deuel

You are still comparing apples with oranges, so get off of it. Lousy golf nuts!

    Corey Deuel

By golf being boring, I meant watching it. The game itself is not superior to pool, or harder to play. To become good at both, it takes years and years of experience along with talent. So shut up, you golf nut (j/k)
