Anyone know how abrasive a Willard is.

I would gues it's about 100 grit. Troy

    Popped seams

My guess is that it's a combination of the carpet settling and the frame settling after assembly. Fairly rare for the slates to pop, but certainly possible. Ususlly the table simply goes out of level and good installers will return to re-level the table at no charge. It's also possible the table...

Is old 1971 Adam cue collectable?

From what I understand, the "LION" plus "ADAM" on the butt cap is much newer than those with only the "LION". Also, the smaller "LION" is a newer cue than the larger "LION". Troy

Is old 1971 Adam cue collectable?

I have an Adam from about 1980. No label, but it does have the "LION" in the butt cap. Very plain, Walnut butt (I think) with a "basket weave" pattern in the wrap area instead of a wrap. The original shaft was 10mm so I had two replacement shafts made about 7 years ago. No, it's NOT for sale...

    Defective Willard

I seriously doubt it's a defective Willard's product since you bought it through E-Bay. It's probably just an old, worn scuffer. You can contact Willard's at 1-800-379-0299. Troy

    Is this Legal?

I think this is the rule that apples to your question --- 3.40 CUE BALL IN HAND FOUL During cue ball in hand placement, the player may use his hand or any part of his cue (including the tip) to position the cue ball. When placing the cue ball in position, any forward stroke motion of the...

    Is this Legal?

It's fairly obvious you can NOT use the cue stick to line up the shot by laying it on the table, letting go of it and walking around the table. 3.42 DEVICES Players are not allowed to use a ball, the triangle or any other width-measuring device to see if the cue ball or an object ball...

Where do I find it, one, one like it? What is it CALLED?

I went to a local shoe repair shop and asked for a scrap of un-dyed leather. A piece was given free from which I cut a strip about 1"x5". I left it as is, un-treated with anything, and it works great... :) Troy

    Shim Pockets?

You must get your knowledge from a much different table mechanic. If assembled correctly, all tables are single shimmed with one facing on the end of each rail rubber. Adding a second shim/facing is simply called a double shim. It really ain't complicated -- just count the number of...

    Table leveling question

That's how a great table mechanic in NorCal would fix the problem. You need to be careful not to pop the slates seams though. He does this prior to installing new cloth and checks the seams after leveling. Troy
