So what's new in the Cue Building world?

Please allow me to lead by example, the op had a question, here is one answer. Carbon fiber. It's usually imported, few make their own. I make my own and they are straight, no taper rolls at all. A dial indicator on one showed the center within .003", so little that you can't see it with...

What is the best pool cue joint/pin type?

Funny story from last week. A guy I thought was you had a post on facebook, I made a rare comment and finished the comment by saying you have the best leather wraps in the business. His reply? He wants a cue from you, then I realized it was not you. I do enjoy your posts, keep up the great work.

What is the best pool cue joint/pin type?

You will never win on this topic, here's why. IF someone posts a question, they run the risk of someone else saying "it's been posted before, do a search on the topic." IF one does that search and has additional questions it turns to "why bring up the old thread?" Smile, it's Wednesday.

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Chuck Berry was awesome, he was an individual without a band, when he went on the road he would hire pro musicians or entire bands. Who can name the band he used on his 1966 tour?

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Start? Imagine the difference in times, during the time I mentioned, America was dealing with the most racist person ever, he led the longest filibuster in US history against Civil Rights. The people dancing to Motown at the time were setting the example for those you mention, in the end we...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

It was the Motown era that did it (way before my time.) See the movie about the Temptations when they went out on the road, the difference between the first time and the second time says it all. Long live Motown and Rock, disco sucks.

Carbon Fiber Shafts should be Banned

First off, super rare for anyone to cut down a tree to build a cue, we buy wood that has been cut and aged first. Second, you stated "trivial use in a pool cue." Trivial? Do you play with the super fancy, cue of the future, the best of the best, yup, the Aluminum cue by chance...

    ................................

I love it and you're correct about the website. Soon I will make it even worse than it is now, I plan to eliminate next year, I simply do not need it. I had wix for 8 years, they tripled my price so I got a new one. Year after year goes by and every single day I have people on a waiting...

    Cue ID

I have it's long lost cousin, this one started out as a one piece. I agree as to the age and I am sure it's American made. I got this one a few months back from an avid Brunswick collector, I seen pictures of his collection, very very nice but that does not make me believe this is a Brunswick.

Can anyone help me identify this pool cue please ?

At first glance, I thought it was a Mali. Once I seen the last picture, I realized it identifies as a Golf Club. Please note, new members never get a real answer at first, just thought I would help the process so enjoy and smile.

Joint Pins - What and why

I don't do repair work and therefore not as good as others in here on this question but it's most likely a full thread that is the problem. A full V thread has more room for movement side to side than does a Radial or modified pin with the flat center. Side to side should not be happening at...

Joint Pins - What and why

Agreed for the most part but, when the energy hits the threads of a radial it can carry thru whereas it will not with a deep V thread. Very very minor but if people say they feel the difference, perhaps this is why. Odd thing is this, you would think the more joint face the better. If so...

Joint Pins - What and why

Energy will not transfer thru the 60 degree face like it would in a radial, very different. The real problem with the radial is the cost, 100 standard pins = $340 whereas 100 radial pins =$1300.
