Missed BIH last night - against Efren Reyes.

Efren was in town (Houston) yesterday playing an exhibition and I signed up to play him a couple of games of 8 ball. My gf's daughter played one game and I played the other. I broke dry, he ran 4, missed a bank, then I ran 5 - overpowered the 9 trying to get on my last ball before the 8, but...

The pool world lost a player - I lost a friend.

It was unfortunately. We're going to host a benefit tournament at Big Tyme for his family in the next few weeks - I'll make sure that I send you the details on it directly.

The pool world lost a player - I lost a friend.

Dear AZB Family, On January 12, 2020 - my friend and fellow pool player David Martinez passed away. He wasn't a pro player or a road player - he was a family man, a retired Houston Police Officer (32 years of service) and a man who simply loved to play the game - tournaments, league or just...

What kind of handicap could I get to play Roberto?

If Dean and Roberto can come to terms, I'd be interested in watching it. Have to respect someone willing to take a shot at a pro player with their own cash. If the two sides can agree to terms and spot, then why not?

    RIP Michael Andros...We'll miss you!

Rest in peace and godspeed sir. Our on-line community is lessened by your absence and your presence was welcomed, valued and appreciated. May you and yours find peace in the days and months to come.

Congratulations to The Lion Alex Pagulayan for taking down the White Diamond Super 9-

Alex C. plays out of the same pool hall that I do in Houston and I'd see him as the favorite to make that shot that Alex P. made more often than not as well. You can see when he played that safe on the 2 that he wasn't happy with it as the edge leaked out and he knew that Alex P. was capable of...

Hubert L. "Daddy Warbucks" Cokes in jail 1964 newspaper clipping

I've read a lot of articles about Cokes over the years and will say from everything I've read from multiple sources and people that I've spoken with that he was a) polite and respectful to a fault the majority of the time, b) not afraid to gamble and gamble big and c) no one that you wanted to...

    I CANCELLED A SALE-REVIEW/Opinons/FEEDBACK PLEASE

No horse in this race, but Paypal Friends and Family protects the Seller in this and any other case when it's used in this regard. If I buy anything from anyone I don't know personally and they request F&F, I simply tell them no and I'll add 3% onto the deal - it's very cheap insurance for me...

    Becue reviews?

Been playing with a Becue shaft for about 4 months now - sold my Revo and switched. Good overall feel to it, nice taper and allows me to apply English and move around the table with what feels like much less effort - very happy with it.

    Gabby from Houston.......

Met Gabby and saw him play several times in Houston in the mid 90's - heck of a pool player - wouldn't pi** on him if he was on fire though after what he did.

    Helena Thornfeldt RIP

I had met her once several years ago and she was a very nice lady who took time out of her evening to exchange a few words with a total stranger/fan. How she passed is a private subject that should be left to be discussed by her family - honoring how she lived and played the game that we all...

Earl vs. Shaw.... next at TS

34 minutes, 9-1 Earl. He looked as good as I've ever seen him play.

    New to Houston/Sugar Land

There are a couple of places in your neck of the woods, but most of the halls are concentrated on the west/northwest of town. Big Tyme, Bogies East and West, Clicks, etc. It's a drive for you but Big Tyme is a good spot, good tournaments and you get a lot of pro's coming through there. And...

Thinking about going from cynergy to Becue prime m

It's all 100% subjective - everyone has a different preference and "feel" that they're looking for. As others have stated, try the Becue out before you commit. You may like, you may not. I switched from a Revo to the Becue and am happy with my decision, but what works for me, might not work...

    Which carbon shaft

It's a matter of personal preference so I'd recommend either going to a trade show and seeing if some of the vendors there have one's that you can try out or ask around to your friends and or other players you know and try the different styles. I purchased a Revo, shot with it for a while...
