Who are the greatest players who you have ever seen, who had an ugly looking stroke?

Keith McCready Francisco B. Rafael Martinez None of their strokes can be considered anything close to pretty or textbook (such as an Allison Fisher) but if I could hit the ball like any one of them, I wouldn't care!

Is anyone on here close friends with jjollie?

And my circle of people that I would buy/sell/trade with on AZBilliards has just been reduced by one. I tend to like a small amount of maturity and common sense in my business partners.

In pursuit of knowledge regarding livelihood.

OP - When I was in my late teen's, early 20's I wanted the same things but I realized early on that I simply didn't have the skill set to accomplish it. Now I'm 43 and while pool is still something that I enjoy immensely, it's a hobby and that's all it will ever be - I'm grateful for that and...

Corey Deuel Controversial 10-Ball break at SBE

Took a clinic with Corey 3 years ago - I'm crystal clear on 2 things - #1 unbelievably intelligent and knowledgable player in addition to being a very nice guy, #2 - if he focused his attention and talent on the game 100% as SVB or Darren does and put in the same practice time, very few in the...

SBE Allen really got greedy this year!

Two truths in business: 1) Businesses exist to make a profit at the end of the day. 2) Consumers have the choice to support or not support a business as they see fit. If the consumer feels the pricing is unfair, then they should discuss directly with the business and if no resolution is...

Corey Deuel Controversial 10-Ball break at SBE

It's interesting and if it's legal, he shouldn't be penalized for doing it. Shows a lot of thought, but it didn't win him the matches and if you don't sink the wing ball, then let your opponent push out, you're in trouble against pro level players.

Why the low turnout at the CSI US Open One Pocket

It might be interesting to test the Midwest theory next year if CSI already doesn't have a venue selected - contract with a room early (8-10) months out, heavy promotion, VIP ticket sales in advance and work with the room owner to assist in securing sponsorship/added monies from local business...

To all the players who beat me giving me the nuts

Dean, I'll be at Big Tyme on Wednesday night playing league.I like to gamble and like your stakes/style, but I have no idea how we would match up. I'll PM you my cell phone number and if you make it up there, let me know and we can talk in person and see if we can make a game. I'm a banger -...

LED panel lights for 7,8,9,10 ft pool and billiard tables

That room and Diamond looks familar - belongs to a friend of mine with the initials RR I believe - spoke with him this morning and he was so excited about the table/light combination! He said that the LED lighting illuminates better than any light he's seen.

    Calcutta question...

It's always good business to let the player buy 1/2 or a 1/4 of himself if he can afford it - I always like to have my player invested right along with me. If he can't afford it, then let him know that's he's in for a piece if he plays strong and you get paid out - keeps everyone happy and...

    Eating right for pool success!

Stay away from processed foods, sugar and any type of soda. Eat 4-5 smaller meals thoroughout the day - protein (chicken, fish, turkey, beans), carbs (rice, sweet potatoes,) - some good fats (almonds, organic peanut butter), plenty of green and red vegetables. Get about 1g of protein per 1lb of...

I can't decide who I want to have build my first high end custom.

Best hitting cue I've ever hit with was a Leon Sly, Lomax a close second. I'd have no hesitation recommending either for quality of work or the hit.

2011 US Amateur Pool Champion - help needed due to stroke ...

One of the really good people in pool is Houston's Ernesto Bayaua. In addition to being a really strong player (2011 US Amateur Champion, multi time Lone Star Tour Champion) he's also one of the nicest people you'll meet off the table. Unfortunately Ernesto suffered a stroke a couple of weeks...
