    Hurricanes Suck

They don't suck, they blow. (Humor, not a correction.) Right now Florida is saying BLOW ME. Here in Are-We-Gone, we just had a 6.3 quake off our coast yesterday. We will get a very large one some day, could be tomorrow, could be a thousand years from now.

purchased a sanded Revo shaft.....any health risks??

The only plausible reason would be to hide a defect. Not a factory defect but a ding or dent that the guy put in his shaft, filled in with super glue or epoxy and sanded down to hide the defect. As recommended, use with caution.

Tips for removing a pin without marring the surface?

Exercise resistance bands. Think of a very large rubber band that is around 3" wide and 1/16" thick. Cut it so it's no longer round but straight. Wrap it tightly around the Pin and keep wrapping until its thicker than the joint. Start twisting and the force will increase more than your...

Your first ( good ) cue

My first cue story? It all started with a kid in school who kept bragging about how good he was. He said his dad just bought a new table and cues, claimed his dad was the greatest. Remembering how my Grandad taught me that it was not the cue, it was the person holding the cue, I asked the...

    Evil Eyes

Are you trying to be funny? It made me laugh, Joey does not boil a thing in this case. Linseed oil has impurities from the get go, just buy Linseed oil and you will learn. OR Buy BLO (Boiled Linseed Oil) and the impurities are already boiled out. I hope my half smartassed answer helped so...

Call Jim at "The Cueball" in Salem. He has a fantastic Pool Hall here and he's been in the business since 1963. Just google the name and it will pop right up with the number. A national billiards magazine did a great article on him recently, one the countries finest Pool Halls and...

    Starting treatment on Monday

Michael, I have kept up with this entire thread every morning while I enjoy my coffee. I enjoy studying human nature and the things we humans do. One thing stands out with you. You're in a tough situation and every day you compliment people or say things designed to make them feel good...

Old shaft wood vs. New shaft wood

I do agree with you for the most part. Lumber has already been graded long before we see it, it gets graded as it comes off the line. Further grading is up to the specific industry. Shaft grading? Again, up to the individual cue maker. The nicer the grade of shaft blank, the more money...

I made this one a few years ago for a Nationally recognized Artist, it's been my Avatar ever since. Many moons back I hiked the tallest mountain the lower 48, Mt Whitney. I hiked along the Jon Muir trail. The customers last name was Muir, upon inquiring, I learned that Jon was his Great...
