    Suggestions for practice balls

Think you're right here, Lakeman. Just turned 60 a few days ago. Phenolics typically have a half-life of 1200 years (saw it somewhere on the interwebs, must be true...) Rick

    Suggestions for practice balls

Appreciate the feedback. The drills I'm doing are very repetitive stroke drills. No pocketing, position or english. I'm looking at doing a good number of these over the break and having a couple of sets just for this purpose would be helpful to me so I can get into a rhythm of doing 30 at a...

    Suggestions for practice balls

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I'm going to start the Tor Lowry drills. I'm hoping to be pounding out a few thousand stroke drills in relatively short order. The only set of balls I have now are Aramith Pros, and I'd prefer to keep them for gaming only. I'd like to get 2-3 sets of inexpensive...

    Practice balls

I"m going to take the plunge and do Tor's training series. I figure I'll be pounding at least 7500 shots over a 2 week period. I'll be doing this on my home table. To help with the repetitive stroke and control drills, I'm thinking about getting 2-3 sets of balls exclusively used to practice...

This looks like an interesting alternative. I've reached out to them by email, but I'm wondering if you know what the warranty and return policy is? Thanks for your time in doing this review. Rick

    Suggestions for break cue tip

Thanks for the quick response! I've heard of White Diamond and it's one I've been considering. And your technique comment is spot on - I've been working a lot on my break on my home table and while it's getting better, I still have work to do. Thanks again, Rick

    Suggestions for break cue tip

A few years ago I picked up a McDermott Stinger jump/break cue. I was just getting back into the game after a 30 year hiatus, and wanted something with a bigger hit that would save my player. As I began to get my stroke back, I found it tougher to control the cue ball with the phenolic tip...

    Table alignment/setup aids

Not sure. I was checking out the vids from John Barton and his table had target marks on the rails between the diamonds. This is the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YW_rUsPwXQY Thanks, Rick

    Table alignment/setup aids

Does anyone have suggestions on where I might find practice/alignment aids for my home table? I've seen some YT vids with gridline stickers on the rails. Would like to purchase some if they are available. Also - I'd like to draw some lines on my home table to assist with keeping the racks...

    Table alignment/setup aids

I've seen a couple of YT videos where the table has what looks like grid stickers on their rails, to assist with banks and setup. Anyone know where I might find these for sale or if there might be a template I can use to make my own? Also - on my table I'd like to draw some alignment lines for...

Canada Billiard La Condo Stainless 9' Table

What about trying a color matched Sharpie? I've used them on minor furniture touch ups (when the pup was in chew/gnaw stage) and it worked great. Not tried it on leather, tho, so if you try this I'd test an area that's not noticeable. Great table, and great write-up. Thanks! Rick

    Valley table rails jump aggressively

Thanks for the reply. I understand what you're saying, and yes, the ball is jumping a bit. It seems like it's accelerating because none of the Valleys I play on in league do this. I do know the table was recovered about 6-12 months ago - could be they recovered the rails and maybe stretched...
