    Incorrect Grip?

The Grip is one of the Culprits I like to keep the back of my hand & the flat part of my wrist & lower arm, all on the same PLANE. I can feel that in my stroke & that's how I use my arm in the stroke. For Me, I think that eliminates any rotation of the grip. I also do other things, but I can't...

Preferred Cloth Color For Tournament Tables

I'm an Old Timer, too... I like the Green, it's just what I grew up with. I wouldn't cover my table with Blue Cloth, even if it was Free.

Thoughts on pool ,life and 5 inch pockets

Amen, Brother Dean... you tell 'em. Pool Tables with COBBED UP pockets, aren't made to play & have fun on, they are JUNKERs that someone really messed. JMHO My corner pockets are 4-3/4", but the table plays very good. It banks great too...

    Break cue stuff, again.

We gave Video Analysis lessons at the big Tournaments we went to. We used up to 4 camera's at once, plus lasers to tell us what was happening in the stroke. We had lasers in the butt of the cue & maybe one on the shaft. By using 3 cameras, front, back & side, we could see where the Cue was at...

    Break cue stuff, again.

Maybe you should video yourself Breaking FAST, to see what's happening in your delivery. If you see that your rotating too much & hitting the left side more, maybe you should practice in a different stance, to bring your stoke down the Shot Line & not cross it. Videos can help you learn quicker...

Do carbon fiber shafts make the game easier?

Let's see... what is the golden rule..? Is it, "do unto others, but do it first..?" or "He who has the Gold, makes the rules..?" or "Follow the Money"... What do you think is the Golden Rule of today...? I'm sure all of the Good Players of Yesterday would do what Good Players do today, play...

A Pool Room with Home Style Tables

I played at a Fox & Hound a couple of times, in Texas. They had 8 foot Furniture Tables. I didn't think they played bad at all. I have a good 8 foot Furniture Table at home. It's 20 years old & it plays great. The corners are 4 3/4, the sides are just 5.. Banks are right on target. Me & my Pool...

Do carbon fiber shafts make the game easier?

I wonder who said that first..? I'm sure the Indians did try to make their equipment as good as possible, but they were limited, to some degree. Did you ever see an Indian with a lathe...? You have given us your opinion & I gave you mine. Technology is great, I have enjoyed technology in...

Do carbon fiber shafts make the game easier?

The old adage, "It ain't the arrow, it's the Indian", applies to the situation. If we all changed equipment, to the supposed BEST, the differences between us, would still be the same...

Do carbon fiber shafts make the game easier?

Well, I been playing with maple for 60 plus years. I did have an 8 piece Pie-lam shaft, that I let go & I wish I had that one back. Guido made the one I've had for 3-4 years & that's the one I'll have, when I go. I did try a REVO, at the last tournament. It felt good, but I didn't buy it. My cue...

Feet alignment and rubber shoe soles

I read somewhere in my Pool N Billiard Instructional books, that good shoes should be used when playing & attention should be given to the heel height, as different heel heights can affect your play. I would say that in my history, leather shoes are tougher on one's feet, over the long run &...
