Get as new a one as possible. They were designed to take abuse in a corner bar atmosphere but they do sag in the middle over time. You only have the four legs for leveling so if you want to pay a good mechanic enough money he can get it "more" level by shiming the cross beams and saddles, but...

I'm not a mechanic but try this test ... stack a roll of quarters anywhere on the table and give a "modest" shake to the table and see if they stay stacked.

I used 3M weather stripping cement. It comes in black or yellow. Didn't try the iron thing.

I'm finding that getting ready for the lights is proving difficult. The other halls have their lights 40 inches above the playing surface. If I follow Diamonds recommendation they would be 46 inches. My drop ceiling is 90 inches. I'll have to go with 40 inches and shorthen the wire that comes...

I assume the vendor does not allow you to open the tables to use a standard non-magnetc ball. Regardless, if the table is set up the magnetic cue ball, if it is the last ball in, will stop in the table, requiring another set of quarters to retrieve your green Aramith. If you still need them in...

Donny ... are the Diamond lights hard wired for a breaker or do they have a built-in switch? Diamond and the other halls with Diamonds are closed today and I was just curious.

I got 13 (7') and one (8') Smart Tables coming March 1st. I don't want it to be a surprise the first time something goes wrong. If what you guys describe is the biggest problem then I can handle that. Just go get a long handle swifter and a shop vac that blows. Thanks for the responses.

I've got a good handle on keeping 14 old Valleys up and running. I've repaired ESDs and drop mechanisms, cleaned tracks and aligned magnets, etc.. I've decided its time to upgrade. What can I expect from Diamond Smart Tables?

North Alabama is very good for APA with over 100 teams. The venues with Diamonds are slowly siphoning teams from those of us with Valleys. Our good food and drink has been Steve's best draw to keep people happy. Regardless, I just signed with Diamond to stop the bleeding.
