"I always sell my cues for a profit" sellers

I have never once pursued buying or been offered someone else's personal cue. The "I only sell at a profit" guy is a dead end. It's about what something is worth today...and what it's worth is what someone is willing and able to pay. If someone selling a car, a cue or a house starts talking...

    Pros and Cons Gambling

No, the difference is being one of the competitors. The possibility for shenanigans is the difference. If I am the quarterback in the Superbowl, do you want me betting that the other team will win?

    Pros and Cons Gambling

You don't see the difference between betting on a game where you are (and have control over) one of the opponents and a game where that isn't true? And no need to get off in the weeds with insurance...even if you realize how shakey your position is in the actual topic being discussed. I am not...

Would you be a tool about it on the forums if it was your situation?

    Pros and Cons Gambling

I'm not taking either side of this, I've already explained I basically don't care. However, there is a huge difference between putting $100 on the Lakers to win and $100 on you yourself against another individual, especially where weight is involved.

    Pros and Cons Gambling

Pool long ago for me became a game primarily enjoyed at home or in other private settings. I'll play socially at a bar, but usually only if stuck out of town or meeting a larger group than I'd want to host at home. I kinda don't care about pro pool, what the general public thinks of pool or...

Matching Up: On the level gambling VS Sanctioned tournament Play

The world needs to stand up to countries looking the other way at the slaughter of Water Buffalo to use their hides for pool cue tips.

Matching Up: On the level gambling VS Sanctioned tournament Play

I see the max number of posts in a row where you can have a coherent back and forth discussion on a single topic is still "1".

    Does this ad bother you?

It neither offends nor impresses me. I thought by the thread title it was going to be a far more inflammatory word fully spelled out.

Looks like the IRS are having second thoughts on the PayPal issue

OK, but that is a not a point, it's just repeating a rhetorical question that you posed before. And you didn't really address what I said.

Looks like the IRS are having second thoughts on the PayPal issue

I am not clear why being successful and building a bit of personal wealth makes you no longer normal and instead someone who must give more of that money to other people. We already have graduated income tax rates. And while we are at it, of course earned wages and investment gains are two...

Billiards as a way to teach proper behavior

I have no idea what you think we are discussing or arguing about. You spun a yarn about being some kind of pool hustling road player cowboy poet intellectual philosopher. I pointed out the fact that you are in fact none of those. I insult you personally because of how you are. If you can't...

Billiards as a way to teach proper behavior

None of that has anything to do with what I quoted. You can't even stick to the same lie for 24 hours. The only cover up is hiding reality from your pea-sized brain

None of that happened, you know it, even your little man crush Harriman knows it, we all know it.

Billiards as a way to teach proper behavior

Your fantasies in the pool world are bad enough, but the idea that you could play in the corporate world outside the sheltered bubble of low level academia is laughable.

Mass Shooting At Maine Pool Hall & Bowling Alley

I travel quite a bit internationally. I think we probably do excell in that area. If we are pragmatic for just a moment, our ability to address mental health policies and enforcement of existing laws seems far more doable than any attempt to somehow magically eliminate guns from the equation.

Mass Shooting At Maine Pool Hall & Bowling Alley

I had the Taurus version (copy) of the S&W that was a 9-shot. It had misfire issues but as a pinker it was just an inconvenience. I'm not sure why so many "experts" on here don't know even basic information about guns made on the last 75 years. A 13-18 shot 9mm is pretty much a standard...
