Insuring Outrageous Pool Cues-Farmers won't cover them....

Thanks, having lived in the world of litigation, Chubb almost always pays instead of going to trial. They're the company you want if you want to avoid hassles. I'll take a look!

Insuring Outrageous Pool Cues-Farmers won't cover them....

Drawing from a previous post today, this seems like a timely topic. I have a handful of high price and maybe some would call them outrageously priced pool cues. The LA fires had me wondering how I should prove their value to my insurance company should anything happen to them. Side note, if you...

Repair of Its George Sharkskin case

Eeek, that's not encouraging, lol. I have a cobbler in Dallas who can probably handle the repair but I thought a case maker would be best....

Repair of Its George Sharkskin case

I have a unique Its George Case made from Shark skin and one of the accessory zippers is broken. Before I risked taking it to a generic luggage repair shop, I wondered if anyone had suggestions of who might handle a repair job like this? I'm in Dallas so anyone in the general area would be...

    Searing.

I presume it is a Szamboti blank finished by Searing, S+S=$50k? I'm sure it will fetch a significant amount as a nice piece of history, but $50k seems steep. But BBs seem to be astronomical without using historical pieces to assemble, so whatever people will pay will serve as the market....heck...

    Searing.

Did the OP get his issue resolved? It seems like he posted in another thread that he was getting his cues, including a $50k szamboti blank, so what's the update with Searing? Doesn't seem fair to rant about it, reach a potential resolution, and then not speak to the issue again to amend some of...

Is there any update from the OP? To me it now seems like a late night ranting full of sound and fury signifying.....

    Where's Cocobolo Cowboy?

Coco is mocking people in his post! It's not as if he should be immune from critiques. I don't think anyone here wishes him ill will, but he shouldn't dole out criticism and then claim he's tired of it here on AZ when he's contributing to it.... #Hypocrisy

    Where's Cocobolo Cowboy?

Thank Gawd! His post was drivel. I've seen his posts for years and they're always bizarre, but this last one takes the cake. Good riddance unless he takes a more reasonable and amicable tone.....there are valid opinions on both sides but not in Coco's world and there lies the problem.

    Searing.

Yeah I agree, but obviously plenty of cuemakers operate on their own timeline and their own business process. At this point it's worth driving to Dennis' shop and getting back whatever Dennis has that belongs to the OP. Some AZers have done this and it seems to have worked out fine with Dennis...

    Searing.

Are you able to drive to Dennis' shop and get your items back? He was on here in the past year stating he was getting people caught up, but your issues seem much broader than just a single cue project.

    Survey says

A show where you're chit chatting around a pool table with different pros and different locations around the world would be fascinating. Let local audiences come watch and ask some questions and the line out the door alone would be worth seeing. Maybe a local plays the pro for a quick set for...

    Ivory Cue Ball

Lol, the attorneys in Dallas charge a minimum of $500+/hr and the patent trial attorneys I work with charge $1500+/hr. It's insane what attorneys charge, lol. #notanattorney

Sold Searing used cue for sale (Hard leather bound case included)

I'm not sure that it was just "reasonably priced," but rather well below market for a Searing. I'm sure there's plenty of people who would have paid at least $1k for that cue. The cue sold because the seller left dollars on the table/didn't maximize his profit, either as a gesture of kindness...

Sold Searing used cue for sale (Hard leather bound case included)

Definitely an amazing pickup! Congrats to the buyer and very generous for the seller to offer such a deal! I thought it was a scam, but nice to see that good things can happen, even in the pool world! Lol.

    Searing Cue

Looks like the OP updated his original post and has received his cue. Glad it got resolved and hope others get their cues back too.
