how do you prefer to jump?

I learned to jump with my playing cue, but found it to be harder on the cloth than using a jump cue. So naturally, I choose to jump with a jump cue now unless I am jumping an object ball over a ball.

    Chalk, Glove or Nothing?

I wish I didn't need anything, but my hands are just too sticky to play without the aid of something and it doesn't matter how much I wash them or towel them off, or how much I clean my shaft. Proper way to orient bar rack?

It's kind of surprising the amount of differing opinions on the subject. Well, here's one more...I put the flange down, because when I lift up, the flange allows extra room as you start to get the rack away from the balls, lessening the chance of hitting the fresh rack of balls with the rack.

I used to play with a smaller diameter shaft also, and they do have less deflection. The butt was pretty thin too. I used to call it the toothpick.
