Wow! I tried to weed out the quotes that would be most useful.

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the skeptics would mostly choose "A", and the people who think they have CTE figured out would fall into the "B" group. Anyone else I hope has an open mind. I think a lot of time has been devoted to disproving the "A" theory. I am skeptical of...

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

Back on track here... I have a question for everyone trying to figure out CTE. A) Are you dead set on making CTE work by NEVER looking at the pocket, other than to watch the ball drop in after the process. B) Are you willing to believe that you DO reference the pocket briefly before setting...

I think he "figured out" that there the are only 6 shots with CTE and then "Subconsciously" put up a mental mental block. That rationale does seem to make some people "feel" better. :p

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

I suspected from the beginning of this thread that you were not serious about getting to the bottom of CTE, unless getting to the bottom meant disproving. It seems when people start heading in the right direction you lead them away with "feel" and "subconscious". The way YOU define CTE, yes I...

So do you think that the premise behind CTE has been misrepresented to make it sound more interesting? It is possible that once everyone figures it out that it won't be much different from other aiming systems... I think he dropped it because only 4 people came forward.

    CTE aiming.

Found this question from Hal Houle (screen name is anyway) to Johnny Archer. Thought it was funny/interesting so here it is: "When players write to you, asking how to aim, your pat answer is to say that you get three feet back from the shot, then you shoot parallel lines. That is all hogwash...

    Possibly the initial ETC @ 6 o'clock... Then 11 or 1 (30 degrees) part...?

Then the key is to start with the exact initial alignment needed (ETC?) to create the exact cut angle (30 degrees and 1/2 ball offset?) needed after (Before?) the pivot, for a given pivot-arc length.

Thanks for the reply. Would it be too much trouble for anyone to show me where Spidey says that? Thanks, EM

Can anyone tell me why or who said to not take the pocket (or bank or combo) into consideration when lining up a CTE shot?

    CTE experiment, with civil discussion

CreeDo, I don't think the pivot is the same degree for all 3 shots, I think it takes more rotation to get center CB for shot B than A, and more for C. But that doesn't really matter. It is the EDGE that changes for all 3 shots. Pivot is in same place because CB/OB distance is same. I think CTE...

You need to make a small change in your initial alignment You think? subconsciously, without thinking about or focusing on the actual adjustments necessary You wish!
