    Early 90's Schon SLE

I'm selling my early 90's Schon SLE 1 cue. There isn't much information out there on the SLE series of cues. I got an email from Evan when I got the cue letting me know it was from the early 90's and it is an SLE 1. The cue has 6 floating points in the forearm and 6 in the handle. It comes...

    Schon SLE Series

I think it was Evan's email. It was close to 10 years ago and took about a month to get a reply. I'll take a look when I get home what the email address was.

    Schon SLE Series

Looking for some help from the more seasoned cue gurus. I've got an early 90's Schon SLE 1 (based on an email with Evan) I can't find any info on the SLE series anywhere. There was a post on here from back in 2007 that someone mentioned it is the Schon Limited Edition. I'm not sure it that's...

    Hard Times in Sacramento

I'm there a few times a week. Being the first Sunday of the month there should be a good crowd. There are monthly tournaments on the first Saturday and Sunday of the month. One is 9ball and the other is 1 pocket and because I work weekends, I can't remeber which one is which day. And yes...

If you call a hard shot and the ball goes into the pocket, why is it luck?

Didn't have the time to read all the responses but I have a canned line for when stuff like that happens. I always say "It was just like I planned but not like I expected" :grin-square:

    93 Schon sl20

No one is doubting that the cue is great, quite the contrary. Everyone has said that it is a great cue. They are just clarifying the year of the cue since you stated it in the ad. No need to get your feathers ruffled, if nothing else, look at all the free bumps you're getting.

Some have left it behind and even more never found it to begin with.

What cue case do you carry?

I've got the JB Prototype case, which I'm guessing is the new rugged line. Great price and an amazing case if you're not looking for anything flashy and just want to protect your cues.

    Why eliminate luck from pool?

That's exactly how I look at it. We've all won and lost games by being more fortunate than our opponents. (sounds much better than lucky) Or the ever popular "I/you got all the rolls tonight" To the OP, I think you're right about the transition. When I play with friends that don't play...

    Why eliminate luck from pool?

Considering there are no outside influences involving the pieces on the board, I would say yes. If you have your strategy planned and your opponent moves his piece to the perfect place for you to go for the kill... was that your strategy that made him move it there or did you get lucky?

Help Needed on How to Always over Estimate your opponent

I have to agree with this. It is helpful to know what your opponents strengths and weaknesses are, but it can also get in the way. Knowledge is power, but power in the wrong hands can be a bad thing.

Amar Kang v. Jeff Gregory Final Now

I didn't see the match but according to the board at Hardtimes last night, it looked like Amar won.

Lose That Belly And Up your game

I lost about 80lbs in the last year and still have more to go, but it definitely helped my game. I'm sure there are other factors, but the self confidence boost alone has made a difference. Keep up the good work and don't get discouraged.

OCD things you do when you play pool

When lagging for the break in 8 ball I always use the opposite ball as my opponent and then use those two balls as the corner balls when I rack. I also have specific places for joint protectors, keys, chalk in my case. Not sure if that's as much OCD as it is being a creature of habit to make...

    Share your "Light Bulb" stories

I had two recently. I have read and tried to learn a few different diamond systems over the years. When I got Tor's zero-x system, it clicked instantly. The other time was when I learned the effects of english on bank shots. I'm pretty sure I picked it up from Banking with the Beard, but...
