I hate to be negative, but I think you have a good point, Neil. He has refused to answer a couple of simple questions of mine two times, so I think that his stories are all fabricated. I will not be buying a copy of the book.

Current players can always tell if some guy used to be a player when he was younger just by watching the way he moves around the table, holds his cue stick, stroke, etc. That's true for golf also.

Where are you from in WV? I grew up there - Charleston - and I've never heard of Johnny Billo. I'm 68 years old so I'm probably too old or too young. Perhaps he was not from the Charleston area.

I have one of their import lines (Valhalla) and it plays really well. Also, it is much straighter than my made in the USA McDermott G Core. In fact, it is dead straight.

I don't know about pool, but in golf if an amateur competes in a pro event and wins money and takes the money, he is no longer considered an amateur. It should be the same in pool or any sporting event.

However true that might be, I live in Costa Rica and good things are hard to get. My billiard guy has these tips available and no others so I will use them. I could import others from the US, but custom is unbelievable here and not worth the trouble. But thanks for your comments.

Has anyone tried the Tiger Icebreaker tip on their break cue. I am thinking of replacing my current totally phenolic tip with this one to obtain better control of the cue ball. Also, I plan to use a quarter tip shape or less. I appreciate any feedback.

If this has been discussed before, my sincere apologies for reposting. I made a horrible mistake and cleaned a ferrule with Aramith ball cleaner and got some on the shaft, which destroyed the polyurethane. Is there an easy fix for me, like using clear paint with Acrylic Polyurethene? I...
