DKB Cue Case- Unknown Age or Origin

DKB could always be the initials of the former owner, or are they on all of the cases?

    New cue design

Thanks guys, I agree that this is what is "supposed" to go with the forearm! I went ahead and spent the time to do the proportions of the points a little better:

    New cue design

Ok, I finished mocking up the idea but I screwed up the placement a bit so the silver is a bit chunkier than I'd like. Try to picture the merged bridged points in the sleeve pulled apart to have similar spacing to the rings as the forearm points and that will give a smaller diamond instead of...

    New cue design

Ive thought about that as well. It's the easiest way to make the design cohesive but I'm not traditionally a fan of reverse points. I'll have to give that some thought. The point design is the main design feature.

    New cue design

Here's a Tonkin with similar coloring but I've never seen anything like my point design. That said, it is definitely inspired by Pete's merged veneers.

    New cue design

I agree with the scalloped diamonds would be interesting. My first thought was actually similar to the design with the connected veneers but wasn't sure how much the veneers could be bent to accommodate the design and so I gave up on it for the simpler straight diamond. Not to mention that I...

    New cue design

When I upscaled the diamonds, I couldn't get them large enough to overlap without making them wider or extending the length of the sleeve. I don't really like the idea of making them too large or too wide as then the silver will be a bit too chunky.

    New cue design

The silver in the points is definitely meant to be slim and elegant. I had envisioned pealing back the veneers to reveal the silver sliver. I'll definitely talk with the Cuemaker to get an idea of what he thinks he's capable of and what effect can be achieved realistically. My design theme...

    New cue design

I've been in talks with a Cuemaker for a while about commissioning a cue and have been playing with different ideas. I started off with a spin on a previous design I came up with but after looking at lots of cues recently inspiration struck. I had a sleepless night earlier in the week and after...

Great cue Scott! I continue to buy high and sell low so I'll likely never be able to acquire one of Dave's masterpieces. That's ok though, I can live vicariously through you!!

    Playing the ghost

He's playing a "5 ahead" set which means that he has to get "ahead" 5 games. The coin moves forward when he wins and back when the ghost wins and he's got to get to the fifth spot to win.
