I hope he doesn't mind me posting it but the Lord of the Rings cue on recollection cues is pretty sweet as well. http://recollectioncues.com/lordoftheringscue.html

    theme cues

Here's a cue that this thread made me think about that I was sad to have to sell. WPBA teamed with my three favorite players at the time: Jeanette Lee, Allison Fisher and Jennifer Barretta.

Thanks Tim, I've loved your cue since I first saw it as well! I have my spin on a propeller cue in the works as well that I'm really looking forward to that will also be an NEFS cue:

The two on the left fall under this category (JMW and Vigus).

    Just had to post this...

The reason why the metric system is "better" is that it all units relate to one another in multiples of 10. Thus, when converting a 3.654 kilometers into meters you just have to move the decimal point whereas converting 2.284 miles into feet you have to do actual math. The less complicated your...

Thanks, I really wish the JMW Hoppe was at least 59" though, and had a bumper...lol. I'm used to bouncing my cue on the bumper and the hall I play at has hard wood floors!

    Lou Butera Cue

Very good points. I must have subconsciously ;) ignored the part where you were pointing out the semantics of the fact that it is technically a word and not the inferred point that it shouldn't exist and/or is an improper form of the word regardless. :sorry: After all, my point, which...

It is an incorrect use of the word 'regardless'. I don't know if it was first used to make a $2 word into a $5 word or a mishearing that was repeated and took off but because it is used in place of the word it is mistaken for and should really mean the opposite suggests that it is indeed not a...

Just an FYI, this is not a word; regardless of the fact that many use it.

Can you show a picture of the butt with a quarter turn? I can't really tell what's happening between the main boxes.

    ** TASCARELLA ** Biggest ** Baddest ** 8 Point Monster **

Very sweet indeed. Are the spears ivory or silver? I've been debating on whether I'll continue to order cues with ivory and seeing the way we're going I think I'm going to stop. I'm going to be meeting with Josh Treadway here in a couple weeks to commission something and it's tough since I...

What's the benefit of owning a cue vs using the ones at the bar?

If you have the means and desire to purchase a cue then by all means purchase one. Just playing with one cue removes some variables and can help in the early stages.

Thoughts on an extended custom cue

Carom games are also played more upright. The closer the head is to the cue the more length is needed for a textbook stroke.

Thoughts on an extended custom cue

I've been playing with 60" cues for a decade or so and would not want to go back. Mark Wilson suggested it to me when I took some lessons from him. It definitely helps maintain proper mechanics!

Shane Van Boening playing with extension why??

I'm only 6'1 but have been playing with 60" cues for quite a while. Longer cues are necessary for taller people if they care about "proper" mechanics (i.e. No/minimal elbow drop). My back hand was hanging off the end of my cue for a lot of shots and the longer cue helps with this.
