My reading comprehension sucks I guess. I just noticed that you said the middle section...lol. I can see how a solid ebony section with just the props would be less of a breakup from the wrap. This will be my first segmented handle cue so we'll see how it turns out.
I can see that. This is the design that I first sent to Pete as the bridged boxes was a separate idea I had. Then I thought about combining them and I think I'm going to like it quite a bit. We all have our own aesthetic and that's ok!
This cue was first started back in 2013 but I had to cancel it. Luckily, the Cuemaker still had it in his shop and I'm able to get it completed now. Many thanks to Pete Tonkin for putting up with me and being understanding when life happens!
Thanks guys, the cue is awesome. I'm pretty sure I'll be keeping it for a while. This is my first time trying milk dud tips and I look forward to putting some time in to see what I think.
Well, I received the cue on Friday but couldn't get to the pool hall until tonight (Sunday). I played with both shafts and the cue plays awesome and looks beautiful in person! I snapped a couple quick pics under the table lights:
You take it out of the case, screw it together and hit the cue ball with the end that has the tip! Those all look pretty standard. What do you estimate the value at?
Yeah, I'm a sucker for bridged points and the full splice wrapless is a bonus! I also can't get enough of Larry's joint design, so very unique and awesome!
My James White cue is my go to player but I've played with Gilbert's, Blackcreek, Skip Weston, Vigus, and.a few others. I'd say my favorites have been White, Vigus and Blackcreek.
