Learning to take good pictures of cues

Thanks! The photos I took today are definitely the best I've taken to date. I'll definitely head to the fabric store this weekend and pick something up. I think I'm going to look into making a makeshift light box for indoor pics. I bought a couple of hot lights years ago but wasn't ever able...

Learning to take good pictures of cues

I tried playing with the clarity a bit and couldn't tell much. I think the lighting was just too bad. That said, here's my outside shots for today. I need to invest in some solid colored material for backgrounds though: Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Learning to take good pictures of cues

The only post I did previously was adjusting the color and brightness a bit with the iPad's photos app. Ive got a lot to learn about post editing as well but it's pretty amazing how much more detail the Lightroom app gives with auto.

Learning to take good pictures of cues

Thanks guys for your replies. The photos are definitely too warm! All the lights in the house are extremely yellow. I'm hoping to catch the right amount of cloudiness today to take some shots outside. On the light/white balance front, I assume it's better to have the tone of the light correct...

Learning to take good pictures of cues

I imported them into Apple Photos on the computer and then ended up using Tapatalk since mobile safari on the iPad was only giving me the option to upload one pic per post.

Learning to take good pictures of cues

I've finally decided to actually learn how to use my camera and got some base settings from kenrockwell.com and took some quick baseline photos. As I continue my progress I will, hopefully, be sharing better and better quality shots. These were taken in my bedroom with crappy lighting with my...

    2007 JMW Cue for Sale

I can't believe it either but, when life happens, you sometimes have to make the tough decisions! I wish I could keep it forever but it looks as though it's not in the cards for me at this point. Thanks everyone, the cue plays as good as it looks and the pictures don't really do the design...

WHY NOT - New Fellini cases

My only problem with the GTF case is that they need to be at least a half-inch longer to comfortably hold a 60" cue with a 30/30 split and big pin!!

I've seen a few diamond wood cues but I just don't think they're for me. The cue has nice BEM though!
