Well, I received my Becue in record time! I was able to get out and play around with it for a couple hours tonight and I will echo the others that have said it has a great, solid feel without the hollowness of the other low squirt shafts I’ve tried. Surprisingly, I seemed to adjust to the...
I have to hand in my man card as I just bought a 60” carbon cue with 11.8 and 12mm tips, a glove, and an extension lol. It is 19oz though and can be adjusted to 21. Hopefully I’ll still be able to jump full cue with it.
Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot I bought some Russian Magic Chalk to try as well lol.
I went to the pool hall to take a ‘before’ video doing these shots so I could compare the Becue when I get it. I was shooting a few balls to warm up and shot a couple of the first shot and drew one to the end rail and out a bit and then on my first attempt at the second shot my tip popped off...
I'm a gear whore and a cue snob so I like high-end cues. That said, I can play almost as good with a cue off the rack, as long as the tip is good.
Disclaimer: I may not be good enough for the type of cue to make a difference...lol.
That makes sense. I guess I never think about anything other than how fast hitting off center makes the CB spin (RPM) which is what confused me about the implication that hitting it harder wouldn't affect this and I think of the "action" off the rail as more related to the speed and angle of the...
I practice a power draw with extreme side all the time (Byrne's power pool workout shot 10) to see how well I'm hitting them but this is not a shot I routinely use. I was just a little confused at the implication that extra power/stroke speed didn't change the amount of spin on the ball the same...
I am. There's that trick shot to try and keep the ball spinning as long as possible with extreme side and power with a stop shot. If extra power didn't add extra spin then you wouldn't have to hit the shot hard.
That makes sense. I'm interested in the carbon cues as well, so much so that I ordered a Becue. I can't wait to see how it compares on shots like this to my full maple shafts.
Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to mention that they’re sending one of their gloves as well. My closed bridge can definitely be on the loose side so I’m interested to see which I prefer. I mess around occasionally on snooker and billiards tables so I figure the 5.1 might be good for that and...
In the past few months I had become intrigued by these carbon composite cues and decided to try one. After reading all of the reviews, and the fact that I can get it in 60", I just put in my order for a Becue. It's going to be quite the change from what I typically play with but I'm looking...
I was always told to adjust your bridge length according to the shot speed. Longer bridge and stroke for power shots to short bridge and stroke for soft touch shots.
I got an itch to try one of the carbon cues and since I play with 60" cues I went whole hog and just placed an order for a Becue with both shafts and the extension. Hopefully I'll like it...lol!
I just watched a couple of matches with Siming Chen, against Chezka Centeno and Xiaoting Pan and it was pretty entertaining! I find it interesting that she pulls her cue back quite far even for soft shots. These three are definitely a pleasure to watch!
