    New pool hall in vegas?

I believe that Mark Griffin will do a great job. I haven't been to Vegas for a long time but I will definitely play there.

    New pool hall in vegas?

Translation: Locals gamble, love gourmet food and seeing shows. I would bet the pool room is going to fail. It will close in a year because it won't be profitable. It may last three months longer if someone wants to continue to run it at a loss.

One pockets hurts other games , so I'm told

Are the top 20 not the best? Granted, there are one pocket specialists who are not great at other games. Efren was great at other games before he became great at one pocket. "Shannon not so much" uhh do your homework. Shannon has won many, many titles in other disciplines over the years...

One pockets hurts other games , so I'm told

A few other one pocket greats who didn't struggle with other games = Shannon the Cannon, Buddy Hall, Alex Pagulyan, Jose Parica. Some others who would be considered too 20 in one pocket currently = Shane, Corey, Bustamante, Orcollo.

    2016 World 9-Ball Championship

Tough last rack for Shane. Looked like he got sharked several times. Cheng got up and walked over to see if Shane had a clear shot. Shane was at the table looking at his next shot and couldn't believe what Cheng was doing. He regrouped and continued. He got distracted a couple more times...

    2016 World 9-Ball Championship

He is only the big favorite until his opponent is determined, if it is Shane, who is ahead 9-8 then I believe Shane would be the betting favorite.

Do you see your favorite pro pool players in the same way that you see celebrities?

Nice post Jam. It is a very tough profession and it is a pity that some have the need to try to demean the pros. I don't know if you were aware that you posted right after Lou Figueroa took his usual cheap shot. Interestingly enough the last time you posted in response to him on one pocket...

Efren Reyes vs Scott Frost - Who do you like?

I am pretty sure if it was put to a vote for the greatest one pocket player between Efren and any other great player that Efren would get probably 90% of the vote. Of course, anyone could have the opinion that he wasn't the greatest. A more rational question would be "who is the 2nd greatest...

    John Barton's exercise routine video

It is often mentioned about backers for this match. I am just wondering if this is the correct term. My understanding of a backer is someone who puts up the money for a percentage of the winnings. This was not the case for this match. Someone put up about 80-85% of the money for one of the...

    Arturo Rivera passed away

Sorry to hear about the passing of Arturo. I played him in 9 ball and one pocket tournaments and he was a very slow player. I figured this was the only way he could play. However, he was gambling at 3 cushion billiards against Shane Van Boening at Hard Times and he played 3 cushion very fast...

    DCC 9 ball updates

There is a 2nd and 3rd with a much smaller payout. I think Orcollo and Shane probably got 2nd and 3rd with it being very close between them.

Turning Stone XXV Day 3 Update Thread

That makes no sense to me, you have no way of knowing when you will face the top players especially after a couple of rounds. Usually you have to beat more tough players from the loser side than you do on the winners.

Turning Stone XXV Day 3 Update Thread

I have played many tournaments both ways and makes absolutely no difference to me. Although I do prefer being on the winner's side at all times.
