T-rail bolt system conversion per Mr. Long

in your kling thread this guy posted...this.... "I've had two Anniversarys oversized 8-footers, one Arcade and now have a Kling. See links below. The Kling was a damaged 10' Snooker table we converted to a 9' drop-pocket 6-legged Kling. We also added up-bolts to tighten the rails and avoid the...

    Kim Steel pool tables

might it be that steel and slate do not work well together? like they don't expand and contract properly with heat changes; thus causing the crowning? just a thought ..

    Takini on my GC4

just FYI the end to end rail test and the rails around are mostly related to the cushion rubber and rail height. and not the speed of the cloth .... Have had a few discussions w/ RKC on this topic and the frictional force of the cloth is negligible.... good luck with the new cloth.

    Info about OLD (pre-GC) Brunswicks

I have a brunswick kling 9ft. I think it plays great. I think the T-rails are not an ideal design, but I think most older brunswicks can be made to play good. You may need to get new rubber on them and have the subrails extended to close the pockets here is a 10ft ...don't know if it's...

    recovery help?

i don't really know what you are saying but covering a table is not the same thing as leveling it and doing the seams ... did you use a machinist level to get the table level? did you use bondo for the seams? from what you are saying you are doing it all wrong. Now you are going to buy some...

New Here. Thinking about refelting my table myself

those tables are horrible and not worth the time to fix imo.....I would try and sell it and then get a cheap gold crown that you can work on ... if you want to do it right then you will have to back the slate, re-do the seams, re-level, completely rebuild the rails with real wood. you probably...

New Here. Thinking about refelting my table myself

here is what you will need to do http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=251071&highlight=subrail+extensions (make note that this is a thread that shows how to fix an improperly done subrail extension...so it shows what not to do and what you need to do.) when you cut the cushions you...

    recovery help?

i am curious why you think a 3 piece slate is harder to recover than a 1 piece slate? this question alone shows that you need professional help.

New Here. Thinking about refelting my table myself

I guess i disagree here....I think it is actually very hard to do this work properly... check out the mechanics forum this will help you level the table http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=54538 you can put thicker facings on but you need to use 60 durometer neoprene and can only...

    Desire to play

Gold Crowns can be had for cheap in today's economy. I recently got my dad's old brunswick kling ...i hadn't played in years...now I play 2-3 hours a day. I don't think I even new how much I loved the game until I got my own table. My motivation also comes from the fact that if I don't play...

How to tell if its a Olhausen or brunswick?

diamonds use k55 because that is what the rails are designed for. it's simply a matter of angles ....neither profile is better or worse. you just need to have the right one... artemis is the best

Shane's side of the ferrule aiming adaptation.

interesting ....My issue is that it is hard to look at the ball in two dimensions when you are playing i.e. a flat ball hovering between 9and3 also the distance between the cb and ob will affect the calculations if english is used I would like to see a 3 dimensional rendering of how we are...

    SIMONIS 860 vs SIMONIS 760

so hit it with a hard stroke if you want to make the ball bounce and stop? please fix your table ....rail height should be 1 & 7/16 inches ....you are probably at 1 1/4 inches right now. fix the rail height then count the banks. then replace the cloth and count the banks then report back.

    SIMONIS 860 vs SIMONIS 760

I new an asteroid was coming .... so what you are saying is that when you have brand new 860 the table banks 4-5 lengths as it should. But after a year of playing on the cloth all of a sudden it banks 9 lengths? that makes no sense. I want to see a video of this and I also want to see...
