@sfleinen The problem is that its mostly just some cheap ass wood covered with a layer of graphite. That kinda spoils your theories.

Maybe it's less confusing with a concrete example. Would you consider this cue to be "fullspliced": http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=127207 (fullspliced points but with different wood in the buttsleeve) and if yes, would you also consider these cues to still be "fullspliced"...

I think, it's a problem of definition. While "full spliced points" is a technical term without much room for interpretation, the term "fullsplice cue" leaves much in the open and is a question of philosophy. For example the cue in your example would be a cue with fullspliced points, but...

I've been using a Hornbeam shaft since 2007 and I like it a lot. It's a little harder and stiffer than maple but still soft enough to play. It's also very similar in color, maybe a little more towards white and a little less towards yellow. Dmitry Komarov (username: DBK) makes these shafts. I...

What material is the ferrule of the RB cue made of? It'd be interesting to know how such a short ferrule can withstand such huge balls on power shots.
