I had a terrible experience with Ernie as well. I ordered a cue to be 18.7 and he said no problem. when I picked it up it was only 18.68. I was furious but took it anyway. Can you believe that???
You might also look at a Runde. I have a couple of his and a couple of Schons. To me, his have a better feel to them. Schons all seem to hit very similar. The Runde's just give more feedback. Can't tell why.
I think it is kinda odd you would notice that. Why would you notice that? Are you nervous? Maybe if you really focus on aiming and speed, you would not worry about other things?

Here is an Meucci Original. About 19 oz. Shaft is a Meucci, but not quite the same collar as butt. It has a thin red ring. Cue has a few very small dings.
