    Griff's 2026 US Open events

I can see that, but he talks too much. I'd rather he ask more questions, of Panozzo or guests, and not do most of the talking. Panozzo is far more measured and he tries to keep MM in line, but he doesn't get enough words in.

Neither a fan nor detractor of Collins. I'll listen to him if I want to watch a match. If he goes off the rails a bit, I turn the sound down. Molina Mike seems like a decent guy, but I find him quite annoying. Doesn't know the game as well as Collins and he simply can't play it straight. That...

PATTAYA OPEN 2026, Pattaya Thailand, March 2 to March 6

Ctran's link above has the scores. Or check Absolute Pool. Aranas has been splendid. Chua, to me, looks even better. Ferrer started to break out last year and could become a top Pinoy if he keeps playing like this. I have not seen Orcullo play so well since the pandemic. Jumped out 6-0 on...

Never saw him before or knew anything about him. But he beat Anton Raga easily. Looked pretty damn good too.

PATTAYA OPEN 2026, Pattaya Thailand, March 2 to March 6

Down to the final 16. Aloysius Yapp was crushed by James Aranas in the final 64, 9-1. Yapp simply has not looked sharp this year. AJ Manas was also knocked out in the final 64, losing 9-6 to ... Preecha Boonmoung. Couldn't find a Fargo for him. Manas had beaten Boonmoung a day earlier, 9-8...

Didnt see the final, but the lack of a shot clock in the semis was too much for me. Morra was incredibly slow in his final racks vs. Corteza. Nice win over SVB, of course. Seems Morra's participation in the PLP really sharpened his game for the Griffs event.

Pattaya has its own streams on Youtube - a quick search on Pattaya pool will find them. WNT.TV is also carrying matches starting at 9 pm ET.

    WNT NXTGEN

That's what Matchroom is calling it. Evidently WNT plans more events for juniors (16 and under)/ More prize money. More uniformity of rules/conditions. And a junior ranking system. Big deal? Who knows. I am surprised MR is spending any money on this...

PATTAYA OPEN 2026, Pattaya Thailand, March 2 to March 6

The top names are advancing. Yapp, Chua, Hoang, Krause. Manas squeaked thru a second-round match, 9-8, by inducing three fouls on a player from Thailand. A few upsets. Raga and Jeffrey Ignacio sent to the loser's side by other strong but unseeded Filipino players. Broadcast quality is good, but...

SJM at the Las Vegas Open

Mast had her chance, up 3-2 in the final set, and at the table. She made a poor shot on a tied-up 3 ball to cede the table. Januarta then ran out that game and the next. I have no idea what Mast was trying to do. Januarta is a better player, of course, but he took her for granted and she...

    WNT in Arizona

I can't believe ESPN wrote an article on this, but the writer is a stringer in the Philippines. The article was certainly for local consumption. In any case, the Philippines Open will only partly overlap with the Qatar Open. Last year, the first five days of the Qatar Open were qualifiers for...

    WNT in Arizona

Most of the WPA and WNT scheduling conflicts will come in Sept-Oct. And there will be a few big ones. Before that, the only conflict I see is possibly with the Florida Open in early August. Predator is running a WPA event in Rome around the same time, with a total payout of $325,000. Of that...

    WNT in Arizona

In the Philippines Open, nine of the 64 unseeded players won their first-round match. They are listed below. I add who they beat if it was a notable seeded player. Fargo numbers are placed in front of their names. Almost all of them have very low robustness. 801 Paul John Ladao - beat Denis...

    WNT in Arizona

As Bob noted, you get $500 if you win your first match. You get $1,000 if you win your second match and finish in the top 32. Payouts go up to $2,500 for 9-16, $4,250 for quarterfinalists, $7,000 for semfinalists, $12,000 for the runnerup and $30,000 for the winner.

That’s how it worked in the Philippines. The first round in Manila was races to 10.

Understood, but August and September are almost entirely booked for big pool events. There is a small window right before the US Open, but the Bull is a tiring event as previously structured.

    WNT in Arizona

Same format as last year’s Philippines Open. Most seeded pros got to the 64, but eight were knocked out early. Unseeded Pinoys were strong. I don’t think the unseeded American players will be as strong.

    WNT in Arizona

WNT thinks it’s found gold in the South for pro pool. After Florida and Texas, Arizona was beckoning. Trial run likely. If Yuma is a success, WNT will try to find a regular home in Arizona. MR also seems to be expanding into different formats. Now we have the 128-player single elimination...

    WNT in Arizona

Frazer said the WNT wanted to go bigger in the US. They just introduced a 128-player event in Yuma shortly before the U.S. Open in Frisco. Seems patterned after the Philippines Open. Sixty-four top ranked WNT pros and 64 others. Single elimination start to finish...

Pro Billiard Series - Las Vegas Men's Open 10ball live now

The Austrian team had four players listed, but only three can be out there at once. Same thing for the Pinoys. Centeno is listed on the team but not out there.
