WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Yeah, I mentioned this earlier. Good chance for another big payout. Seems almost unfair to allow Januarta to play in the junior event. He is just too good now. Perhaps all the playing and travel will wear on him. Felix Vogel would have been the only comparable player, but it doesn't look like...

Yeah, I get it. He just turned 47, the same age as David Alcaide and two years younger than Niels Feijin. Probably going to start aging out in the near future. Showed a lot of cool in the PLP, though, and he's always enjoyable to watch. Hoang is light years better than he was when I first saw...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Duong really was terrific the whole event. His game keeps getting better. He was determined to do better after a middling performance last year. Tough miss on the 9, but he bounced back. Duong's 40-rack difference in wins vs losses was incredible. Kaci was next at ... 17. FSR also had a...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

The biggest complaint among players and fans about the WNT schedule is that Matchrooom takes too long to finalize and publish it. So now MR pubs the schedule of an annual early and you think it's ... not good? Classics Billiards has been the best host, by far, of the PLP. Lots of people, good...

Final day. Final six are Duong 18 pts Kaci 18 pts FSR 16 pts Capito 15 pts Januarta 14 pts Melling 13 pts Another round robin this afternoon. Five games apiece. Four players make the semis tonite and two players are cut. Duong and Kaci are almost certain to make the evening session. They...

Early start is correct. Each player plays nine times today.

Supposedly head to head, but WNT doesn’t appear to tell their commentators anything!

Spoke too soon. Bergman lost on the rack tiebreaker to Atencio. Bergman and Morra faded in the last matches of the day. Disappointing, but Bergman only has himself to blame. Win one more rack in any match and he would have advanced. Had plenty of chances.

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Looks like Justin will get in by the skin of his chinny … barring a 5-0 loss to FSR and a 5-0 win by Morra or Atencio in their head to head.

Too many self-inflicted errors for Bergman today. He isn’t going to make the cut. Some very questionable decisions. Should have played safe a few times. He has one big weakness. Long somewhat straight shots. He’s missed a handful the past few days. Great player, but not better than Woodward...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

A few quick player evaluations: *Eklent Kaci looks more like pre-injury Kaci than anything I've seen since his off-road accident. He's gotten in very good shape and is playing like his arm no longer bothers him. *Albert Januarta is a better player, to me, than AJ Manas. Plays with more...

Most players are playing like they normally do. What Bergman did in this instance is something one of my playing partners does - and I always chastise him for it! Agreed. I have been super impressed overall. Bergman might be the third best U.S. player.

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Entering Day 3 ... Kledio Kaci will almost certainty be among the first 6 of the 16 players to be cut. Just 1-9 in his first ten games. Jesus Atencio and Thorsten Hohman, with 3-7 records, are also the fringe. Each player would likely have to go 4-1 to have a chance. No player last year got...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Bergman's toughest opponent is himself. Getting back in tune with 9 ball, dialing in his break and maintaining a high level of consistency. He has already shown he can beat anyone in the event. Bergman has made some questionable decisions that he probably would have eschewed if he played more...

Pro Billiard Series - Las Vegas Men's Open 10ball live now

I don't see these events as being head-to-head competitors. The PLP is odd duck, no doubt. An invitational with only 16 player is a boutique event. Haven't watched much of the Vegas event, but I will as the field narrows. Still prefer 9 ball to 10 ball as a viewing fan. Not sure if I like gray...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Bergman should have beaten Yapp 5-0. Came up inexplicably short on position for the 7 and failed to run out as he should have. Still won 5-2 and was very impressive. Bergman is up to 7th place and is even in racks won and lost. He should have beaten Melling and Souto too. Had Bergman been up...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

A few big mistakes by both players at the end of the match. Bergman keeps coming up short on his position at critical times. Almost never long. Always a bit short of his intended CB location, when he messes up.

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Thanks At Large, for the format post. Pretty crazy if you ask me. On Day 4, the players will play nine races to five. They could in theory be involved in 81 racks if each match went hill-hill. On average, each match involves 7.7 racks, based on the average of the first day. So expect players...

WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

Bergman lost 5-4. Was up 4-3. Melling then got a golden break, just barely, when it looked like it was going to be dry. Bergman broke hill-hill, pocketed the one and ran the next five balls. Made a small positional error on the 7 near the right long rail, getting stuck behind the 9. Tried to...

If 2 of 3, I'd rather races to 5. But races to 4 might attract a bit more of a general audience. I do think the shootout should be dropped for the final. Four tables definitely more interesting. I was watching all four at once on my tablet and PC last night. I still don't think Matchroom has...
