McDermott will make you a shaft for $150 with matching rings. For $300 they will make a shaft, refinish and rewrap the cue in linen or leather. I spoke with them earlier this week.

The inlays are fine. It’s the finish. The maple probably moved more than the Rosewood.

The older mahogany linen phenolic and the nicely shaped 5/16x14, plus a nice brown bumper lead to me to think it is a custom. Plus, when was the last time you saw brass ring work on a cheap production cue?
